 So it's resulted in a pretty nice gaming experience, I've actually been using it when I've been streaming recently and I found that my mic hasn't really picked up the sounds of the keys which I think is a good indication that it isn't aggressive in terms of the noise that it gives off. It is also worth noting that I did have some problems with this keyboard initially to the point that Corsair had to send me out another one, and I'm not really sure what was causing them, I had some very intermittent problems where I couldn't use the Windows key and the media control playback buttons weren't functioning properly, was intermittent though, and the new model they've sent me isn't a problem at all. One other thing that I've had is an issue with the RGB lighting where it got stuck on red and wouldn't change colors, then I changed USB ports and it suddenly worked again, then I turned my PC off and on again and it'll be back to red, it was very strange. So we can set it up so we've got our base layer of white as an example and then on top of that if you choose to add another one here and then go into static color there you can then add specific colors

 Performance mode is a simple effects that basically allow you to disable alt tab, alt F4 and your Windows key, you also have a button as the function F1 key also is Windows key disabled so if you hold the function key and F1 that disables the Windows key so that no longer works and you can't accidentally open the start menu which is very handy. As you can see fairly no frills but you can also program quite a lot of different things in there whether it's adding macro actions to specific keys, setting up to disable your caps lock key and also changing lighting effects in a variety of different ways. A very nice keyboard, certainly more affordable than the K100 but not to be sniffed at if you're looking for a low profile comfortable gaming keyboard with some nice specs and a good design to it and this might well be it.  This is a much more affordable gaming keyboard from Corsair which has a number of nice design features to it that include a brushed aluminium backplate, per-key RGB illumination and a very nice setup with thanks for those Cherry MX speed switches. Those have a 45 gram actuation force, just one millimetre of actuation distance and they're guaranteed up to 50 million keystrokes. Now when I first got it out of the box as you'll see me doing now I wasn't that impressed, it doesn't look that great, it's worth bearing in mind obviously I've checked out the K100 recently which is far more premium, much more expensive keyboard, that's at the top of the list of flagship keyboards that are available now and the K60 is obviously a lot lower down, it's more of a budget friendly keyboard, it's not the cheapest keyboard around either by any means, but that doesn't mean it should be dismissed. It still has the number of nice features to it, as I said it has that brushed aluminium backplate, you also have easy access media keys buried within the function keys, nice overall look and feel to it with a flip-up design

 The release of the keys is what makes all the crappy noise, since the quality and cheapness of the feel of the whole keyboard is what causes it. The lighting is wonderful. If you're new to rgb and don't care about the sound and feel of the keyboard, this would also be a good option for you.  I will be returning this keyboard and continuing my hunt for a new one

 The moment I touched the keyboard taking it out of the box, I was 99% sure I was going to hate it. Decided to give it a try, and make myself use it, and hate it even more. LOL.  If you have a kid getting into gaming that wants an rgb mechanical keyboard that is quiet on the press, this is a good option

 You get the manuals, the Corsair K60 RGB Pro SE manual here and it has things about the lighting, the media keys, where you can connect it, where you can download the software, things like that. So all really simple stuff here and then of course we have a warranty guide and safety information. So I don't really open these things, but you probably want to keep them for later in case the time comes where you need to have warranty done. And it comes with this really plush wrist rest, which is the same one that you see on the Corsair K100, which launched very recently as well

Now it doesn't look like much when you first take it out

 You might see some white marks here and there, but trust me, you can just take your finger and wipe it off real quick because it's not actually damaging the aluminum and it scratches quite easily. So keep that in mind. At the top right, you see the Corsair logo and it's a shiny glossy black, but if you take this somewhere like the library, school, the office, wherever, no one's probably going to recognize that it's a gaming mechanical keyboard right off the bat. In fact, it looks like any other keyboard actually

 You get PBT keycaps, you got plush wrist rest, you got that nice aluminum top and the keyboard itself is really sturdy. Of course, you also get the lube stabilizers and this keyboard really to me is surprisingly good. It's all under $100 and for this price, can you get PBT keycaps on a board? Yeah, you can. Can you get RGB lighting on a keyboard? Yeah, I suppose you can

Fortunately for me I was still in the first month of use I got a free replacement with return. Because of this reason I had to give a 3/5 star review

To start out, I really like this keyboard. A lot of my comments follow what other reviews have said. Review one month after purchase

 As I mentioned it has an aluminium frame and the rest of it is sturdy plastic. The edges of the metal faceplate are super smooth and even on the corners there's no sharp edges. Pressing down hard in the centre saw little flex and giving it a thorough shake, it's absolutely 100% silent. The keycaps do not move at all even when running your finger gently over them and I'm impressed because I certainly wasn't expecting that on a mid-range keyboard

 There's no fancy edging or backplate, just matte plastic caps, so there's no frills, just pure performance for the K60 RGB Pro. Plugging it in lets you understand why they stick RGB in the name. This board lights up like a Christmas tree and the perky RGB LEDs that are brighter and possibly even more vivid when compared to the Corsair K95 Platinum XT that I've been using for quite some time now. I think this is partly to do with the fact that the keycaps are low profile so the caps themselves don't extend down to the board like on the K95 for example and this lets you see the switches glowing much more than normal

 They return super quickly and I could still easily type fast without missing a key or double pressing one. Gaming wise was the exact same, I had no issues whatsoever and it was a really good experience. Paired with the fact that the K60 RGB Pro has a 1000Hz polling rate, 100% anti-ghosting and full N-key rollover, the K60 RGB Pro isn't short on the essentials for a superb gaming experience. Some of you will notice the smaller control and shift key and this is our standard bottom row layout here for the UK

 Bear in mind though that for just a little bit more in your budget you could get yourself an Asus ROG Strix Scope for around the £125 mark or even Corsair's own K70 Mark II for just £20 more than the K60 RGB Pro. So other than that, I really enjoyed my time with the K60 RGB Pro. The switches felt excellent for gaming, the design is clean and professional, the perky RGB LEDs really do look the part with the low profile keycaps and the build quality is exactly what I'd expect if I was going to pay above £100 for a keyboard.  The buttons on the Corsair as not quite as "crisp" as the logitech but decent. I wonder if that is by design of the cherry mx keys to make them less klakier. though my G915 is a traditional layout, i.e

 non ergonomic, i had no issues. but on the Corsair i feel discomfort on my shoulders and right hand wrist (below the thumb). unsure if this is just a getting used to thing though again on the g915, no issues. this makes me suspect further its a tad narrower from a layout perspective and the keys feel a tad smaller  also and could be good or bad, the keys are pretty sensitive

overall a decent mechanical rgb keyboard. I have a logitech G915 for comparison and i've come from ergonomic keyboards like Microsoft 4000 and Sculpt, and logitech ERGO K860.  The K60 Pro uses ABS low profile keycaps. Now because this version has the full size switch but low profile cap it makes the keyboard feel slimmer than it is but retains the full size feel which personally I prefer. On the top of the keyboard we find the wired cable. This is 1

 Personally I find these switches more suited to gaming for where the majority of time you're sticking to one small area and not rapidly moving all over the keyboard like when typing. Regular cherry switches such as the browns or even reds for that matter you can do that but I find the way these actuate makes it a little bit hard even if they do register at the same point just two minutes down. In terms of lighting the keyboard does excel with the combination of the low profile keycaps and how the RGB shines throughout the switch which is a very good match. The build and design are top notch although being more of a minimal understated design it does look great

 So after spending some time with the K60 Pro I've come to really love this keyboard. After some initial teething issues with the wireless switches I did find myself getting used to touch typing very quickly and my frequency and mistakes was quickly reduced. Personally I find these switches more suited to gaming for where the majority of time you're sticking to one small area and not rapidly moving all over the keyboard like when typing. Regular cherry switches such as the browns or even reds for that matter you can do that but I find the way these actuate makes it a little bit hard even if they do register at the same point just two minutes down

 All in all this is a top quality offering from Corsair that's vibrant lighting, great build quality and mechanical switches.
