I caught it right before complete failure, but never trusted it after that. * Cotopaxi Allpa 28 and 35L - I bought the 35L first and tried to use it as a daily bag, backpacking bag, etc.. but it was just too big and heavy. The material always felt like despite being thick, thorny branches and whatnot would destroy it.

If that doesn't help, maybe check out something like the Cotopaxi Allpa 35L which is 'pre-compartmentalized'; however, I don't recommend buying a new bag just for that haha. Additionally, a word of caution on the backpack itself if you do decide to buy it; I've heard it may not be as comfortable for taller travelers so I haven't had a chance to actually use that bag. They may or may not have fixed this though.

I currently have the 35L Cotopaxi Allpa and while I love it for longer trips (multiple weeks)... it is a bit on the heavy side and I honestly don’t always need all the space. I wish I went with the 28L, but looking for other recommendations (ideally lighter bags). Also do note that I’m 5’2” female. I do like the hip straps on the 35L and larger packs but I don’t think I need it for a smaller 25-28L pack.

I got a Cotopaxi Allpa 35L when it was on sale. It is perfect for my needs. It’s even better than my rolling luggage because of the organization and access. The top pocket is great for holding my purse or snacks or other things I want accessible and then it has zippers to access the main pockets if I just want to shove a jacket in or get something out.

It's an unstructured bag so it's easy for me to roll it up and shove it in the pocket of a bag so I have a daypack on trips. My most recent additions are the Allpa 35L, duffel bag, and dopp kit. The Allpa has to be my favorite bag. That gets used as my main carry on bag now, and has enough space for clothes + hiking gear like boots, jackets, my daypack, and even an empty 48 oz nalgene inside of it.
