Modeled after a traditional karambit, the black oxide-finished hawkbill-style blade is forged of a premium D2 steel for high durability and excellent edge retention. 

The opening mechanism is pulling the folder into the future whether it’s ready or not. Thumb pressure on the upper crossbar sets the chain reaction in motion, causing the blade to lunge to action while you’ve got a firm grasp on the handle. It’s crafted of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum for supreme toughness. In true Joe fashion, the pocket clip is also a world’s first—sitting almost completely flush with the handle and likewise activated with light thumb pressure.

The Provoke comes up strong when it’s called in for duty.

How Kinematic Works
Nudge the upper crossbar with your thumb—while the rest of your fingers firmly grasp the handle—and the blade lunges to life and locks into place. Shift the discrete lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retreats into its closed position.

Fun design. Screws and pocket clip could use some work.

Hey, so im looking for a high-end karambit knife primarily for collection purposes but that would do well in a real life combat situation.  
Ive been eyeing the we knife incisor, the emerson karambit flipper and the fox 599 tic with frame lock, elmax steal and titanium grip. Any one of these would cost me around 300 euros.  
Any help would be appreciated.

Wich high end Karambit schould i buy?

It’s a quality blade as can be expected from CRKT, I’ve never really had a bad experience with them their blades are usually durable. Comes pretty sharp right out of the box. A few things to note are: you can deploy it one handed, but if you have it in the reverse grip retraction is virtually impossible, HOWEVER, it is possible to retract it in one hand if yyou move it to the forward grip. Another thing, in the closed position, the blade and tip are still exposed, the design allows it so you can’t cut yourself but if you stick your finger where the blade is still visible obviously you can still cut your self, which can be seen as a problem or not considering to cut yourself here you actually have to be try to

 I wear an apron at work, nothing special but it is cut resistant, and tried clipping it to that, but once again it came open and I ended up poking my finger with it. Thankfully it wasn't bad, but ever since then I've kept a rubber band around it to keep it closed if I carry it anywhere. Again, it's a nice knife, but for how much you're paying it should at least have a lock on it, and u til it does I can't recommend it to anyone unless they're getting it purely to display.

I want to rare this higher, but the lack of a lock to keep it closed is killer

Love the weight and stability of the knife. Problem is now whenever I twirl it around my finger the blade flies out and locks in open position. For this kind of money I expected better will be returning it

Great knife but can be a Saftey hazard.

  Something you need to be aware of. There are methods of opening this blade that are not "annotated" on the product, check your local knife laws before carrying. Rather or not a knife violates a law is often a matter of "judgement" for the officer and this could be argued to be a flick knife (even without mechanical assistance) or a "pocket hook" knife. That is to say the simple act of drawng the knife from your pocket can deploy the knife if you catch the "thumb notch" on your pocket

.. Damn near needed stitches on my ass cheak the day I found that out. Which means if a police officer ever asks to see your knife, be very, very careful drawing it
