Some things may need to be done in batches, but the smaller 3-cup capacity is more efficient at chopping herbs and blitzing small amounts of garlic, nuts, seeds, or sauces.  Next I'll chop, tomatoes, tomatoes are also processed very quickly. Remember the tomatoes have a lot of water in them, so don't pulse more than a few times. Unless you want to made a puree here, I have two medium carrots: they peeled and cooked they've cooled down and I'm going to process them. I'M also going to pour a little bit of the cooking liquid into the carrots

Top very hard to get off!

 If you want to be able to process 4 cups of food at once, you should get a processor with an 8-cup bowl. If some pieces of what you are chopping are small and some large, you are 1) starting out with pieces that are too large - cut them smaller, and/or 2) filling the bowl too full in the first place. Sometimes less is more.  To the person who complained that they thought the base was stainless steel but it's not, they are right, it's not

Nice little food processor

  The other reason the Cuisinart gives a better fine chop is that it does a much better job of cycling the food through the blade. This is a real key when you're working with softer foods like spreads, pâtés or purees. When I made a cream cheese spread in both choppers the Cuisinart did a far quicker and better job of pulling the ingredients down the center and into the blade. The KitchenAid kept larger chunks bobbing on top
