You just press it to open it like so and inside is your Cuisinart home barista reusable filter? This is really great. If you like, to, let's say, do your own custom, ground beans and grind them fresh yourself, you can use this little filter and this basket to put your own ground coffee in and use it in the machine instead of a traditional cake out and what you do With this is this piece here is removable, you just pull it, pull it up and that's what normally holds your normal cake up and what you would do to use the filter

 This happens to be on thirty minutes. At the moment, that's a great feature, especially if you don't want to worry about remembering to shut your coffeemaker off before you leave the house. So if you know everyday you're going to have a travel mug, you can change it to be on travel mug, which is twelve ounces and you can make that your standard setting

 First, the negatives: whereas the SS700 let you select the brew temperature in one degree increments over maybe an 8 or 10 degree range, this only has two settings - hot and extra hot. I think the water tank is slightly smaller, and the size of the mug you can use is a bit reduced - a very tall container won't work, but some taller Starbucks mugs that I have still fit. And as other reviews mention, there are no cool blue LED's lighting up the water tank. But overall it is a bit of an improvement on the SS700

A lot like the predecessor SS700 machine, which is a good thing
