1 system and the Dayton is as tall. The sound is superior, I use it with a pair Elac Debut 6 speakers, but need to work on getting a better receiver. I am more interested in the sound than the size of it, but,size was reviewed as very compact, and it is not. It sounds good and works as it should. For the price, I was happy. One downside is there was some physical damage when I received it. It doesn't appear to impact operation and the sub itself is out of sight for the most part, but still a bit of a bummer and drops it from four to three stars

Sounds Great and was easy to mount on my wall. It replaced a 20 year old Sony Sub and sounds better.  Update January 29, 2018: The black coating is starting to peal off the sub.

It'll BLOW your mind.

First, this unit showed up with zero damage and was double boxed. Perfect condition unlike previous reviews. Second, the unit works well, has plenty of bass and thump, is easy to use and setup. Third, the unit without the included legs to stand it up for vertical mounting are 6 inches by 25 inches, not 9 inches by 27 inches as in the Amazon spec's show

 The unit comes on immediately once signal is sent by the stereo with no pop, snap or whatever. I have this in a motorhome and it makes zero noise with the engine or generator running, no buzzing or charger interference. I deducted one star because this unit does not fill the sound space as full as my Bose Sub woofer I was trying to squeeze into a space it would not fit. This unit fits, just not quite as full sounding

 Yes, the wattage is only half of what is billed. But, that would only translate to a small difference to the volume. It would take ten times the wattage to double our perceived volume, which is around 6 db.  With a mere 50-watt amp, this subwoofer can still pump out a lot of bass

 The bass is very musical. However, at 35hz and below, it’s all port noise. This shouldn’t influence the music, tho, as music has little information below 40 hz, and the port noise is only audible when the amp is cranked up.

 The feature is useless and I do not use it. The vinyl wrap is the cheapest and worst I have ever seen. Only keeping because it is an American company and it does deliver good bass performance in a useful form factor.

Frustrating

Its not a top end subby but its not claiming to be either. Sound in a smaller room is certainly decent supplements my yamaha sound deck nicely. Controls are hidden on the output side of the box which makes it a little bit of a challenge to adjust but it also is nice not to see them. I am limited in placement area so this was a good option for a sub

Good deal overall

Not good as other reviews said. Quite disappointed. I understand the low profile is a constraint, but why the auto switch only kick off when having very strong bass signal only then turn off in a few seconds. If turn the woofer always on, it was so hot and makes you worry if ok
