 The color of the desk top that I chose is very nice against all my black peripherals. I love that the desk comes with the option to have the contour in the front or just straight across. I chose the contoured version and I'm glad I did as it's much easier and more ergonomic to use when standing and walking.

New DeskHaus Apex Pro desk with Walnut Top

 Nothing seems to be any less stable. As long as you aren't hammering on it, you'll probably be happy with the stability.

 Everything is somewhat straightforward, but be sure to follow the instructions for the t-shaped parts (You'll see what I mean). Also make sure you don't pinch one of the wires between the frame and tabletop.

 They've included two grommets for running wires, and both are located where you'll actually want them (in the corners). The desk is stable, and I was surprised to find I really like the curvature they've added to the front.

-Don't just stand still. Standing still is just as bad as sitting all day. Shift your weight, step to the window. Take advantage of the fact that it is much easier to move around when you're already standing

A good desk, standing or otherwise

I'm 5'6 and after looking around a bit i had narrowed down my choice to the Uplift V2, Fully Jarvis, Flexispot E7 and the Deskhaus Apex Pro, I wanted something that would be solid and last for a long time. I ended up going with the Apex Pro which probably is an overkill choice but i am quite happy with the Desk and it feels solid, hopefully it won't die on me but only time will tell. Shipping time was surprisingly fast, I paid about 380USD for shipping to Switzerland and the desk got here undamaged within a week.

First ever Standing Desk

 Typing, moving the mouse, even lightly hitting the table to test wobble will not give almost at all. As a programmer, I look through a lot of small characters and words, wobbling makes it pretty hard to read; I actually have a hard time sometimes when my laptop screen shakes while I use it even the small bit it does. This desk is as stable as I could imagine a standing desk being. The tabletop is also very good quality from what I can tell, it feels sturdy, and leaning on it DOES NOT make me feel like it is going to break

 The price is well below what this product is worth, and I would love to return to buy my next desk from ApexDesk.

 The tabletop arrived two days early, and the leg and other assembly the next day with a day still until the predicted date on purchase. Not only was the desk in perfect condition thanks to ApexDesk layering in plenty of Styrofoam in the boxes and even more materials for padding, but they sent me a free set of cutout covers and a free cable tray. The cable tray they sent me for free is solid metal and very sturdy, and a decent size at that! When I got it out of the box, assembly took about 30-45 minutes from start to first stand at the desk raised up. They had a letter included and mentioned that the cable tray was a free gift and I was randomly selected, and that I had no obligation to mention it in any review I write

 This desk is as stable as I could imagine a standing desk being. The tabletop is also very good quality from what I can tell, it feels sturdy, and leaning on it DOES NOT make me feel like it is going to break. The ergonomic shape is really nice and it truly helps with being closer to the monitors and make the desk all around easier to use.

I have a 8ft ikea countertop on a DeskHaus apex pro frame and it’s solid as a rock even on mid pile carpet.

I love standing desks, but this 6ft\~ limit that most vendors have on sizes is killing me. I'm looking to get an 8ft butcher block top as a replacement and was curious if anyone here has done this, and if you've had any issues. As for the frame, I've used Autonomous, but am looking at Uplift, but I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks

I also found assembly Step 4 to be poorly explained. It highlights the instructions as "very importnt", but I think it could describe things better.The legs attach to the cross-member through friction levers and they are very simple once you understand how they work. All four levers are identical and I spent some time trying to find size differences

 Fortunately for me, the interior foam protected the desktop from intrusion damage and the desktop was fine. So, my first concern, damage in transit, proved unfounded.

In my opinion this desk deserves more than five stars. I love the looks, I like the build quality, I like the functionality and I find it an excellent value when considering price-performance. Well, I actually like this so much that I ordered a second unit to replace another desk and I believe that is the ultimate rating - Yes, I would buy it again, and I did.

disappointed to learn that it is apparent there are some cost-saving measures
like using cheaper gear designs and plastic parts compensated with overuse of

or even past its warranty (especially for casual users who only have a single
monitor as primary weight or only switch between sitting/standing like twice a
day) and it is understandable that this might be necessary for it to keep its
price competitive, but as mentioned in the review, leading manufacturers like
Linak and Ketterer have already ditched a dated gear system for something that
is better, e.g. improving efficiency and imposing less wear and tear on the
motor and gear system. This seems to be a strong indication that there is a
distinction between serviceable home consumer products like
Uplift/Jarvis/DeskHaus vs. long-lasting commercial-grade brands that have higher
standards wrt to constant wear and tear.

also open to building my own--I think that might be the better approach because

cheaper than the offerings in an all-in-one like Uplift/Jarvis. It is possible
that the top could last a lifetime (at least in different builds), in which case
it will result in savings in the long term.

keyboard trays purely for ergonomics. I'm not aware of a way to achieve negative

Higher-end options than Uplift/Jarvis? Open to DIY

First, I can say the desk is really attractive. Quite sturdy in the lowered position (can't speak to the raised position, see below). It went together easily in a minimal amount of time. It was well packaged against potential damage, although the top did arrive with a minor dent on the bottom beveled rear edge

 Here's the problem...I ordered one separately (and was charged $32) when I ordered the desk

..customer service hours M-F 8-5 Pacific. Began assembly of the desk on Friday at 4pm ish… discovered it wouldn't go up and down just after 5pm
