* Looks good with seemingly the least amount of issues. * **Elite Suito T - can get for £475 (Sigma Sports)**. * Cheapest, but seems the best value for it's cost. I've been road cycling for about 2-3 years but want to do more training in evenings/over winter and improve general cycling fitness.

Elite Suito would be a great option. It's direct drive and comes with the cassette pre-installed unlike others on the market. Personally for me I will never go back to a wheel on trainer after having switched to a direct drive trainer. The ride feel is much nicer and tends to be quieter as well.

\* some trainer models do come already equipped with a cassette (Elite Suito, for example, not the Suito-T version though). But there has been a worldwide shortage on cassette/chains/etc and thus those pieces have been harder to find. \* Yes of course, trainers keep you in shape, they are worth it, and they also provide some totally controlled environment that can help you train efficiently (no wind, no cars, no traffic lights : perfect for controlled sessions with intervals). And with a connected trainer, you keep track of all your training sessions and can easily spot your weaknesses to improve (after how long of an effort do you lose efficiency, etc).

I recently got my mom go upgrade from her Tacx Votex trainer to an Elite Suito and she has really enjoyed it the past 6 months. They are both really good trainers. The Elite Suito is arguably the best direct drive trainer for the money right now, DC Rainmaker also gave it a very good review.
