$700 system setup? I've a few options, help me pick!

Personally I have them paired with a Llano hybrid tube amp and they sound very warm with great soundstage, imaging, and bass response. They have a folded ribbon tweeter that sound very smooth and accurate.

Center Speaker Help

The emotiva c2+ didn't score that well with in room measurements from the seating area as it suffers from some lobing problems due to the horizontally spaced mid drivers. I wouldn't worry to much about those that wail about perfect matching your front stage. I've had several center speakers that don't match up with my Magnepan's and no one has ever mentioned that ever. On the the other hand, many have mentioned poor bass response or null zones from 2-way speakers leading to unintelligible vocal reproduction.
