Eureka Mignon Specialita

I personally bought a Eureka Mignon Specialita. But I can say that it makes a massive difference if you do some WDT if we want to keep this budget friendly. Solution: Proper WDT.

I just pulled my first shot with Eureka Mignon Specialita + Gaggia Pro Classic after using shitty grinder for a while, and IT’S EYE OPENING. I’m very far away from sophisticated coffee snob, so couldn’t imagine that I could taste such a huge difference with the same type of coffee but only changing the grinder.

The Eureka Mignon looks better, and is definitely built better (more reliable), but in my experience (Sette for 3 years, factory refurbished once with completely shredded gearbox, Mignon Specialita for 1 year) the grind is not nearly as good or consistent as my Sette. It’s quite frustrating, but the Mignon is my main grinder and it basically works... The dose from the Mignon requires stirring and side tapping to avoid channeling, and just generally needs to be babied a little bit more to get a consistent pour (Profitec Pro 500).

I suggest you choose your grinder first. The grinder is much, much more important than the machine. Niche Zero and Eureka Mignon Specialita are frequently recommended grinders for the class of machine you are considering.
