Fallkniven F1 Long Term Review

I was looking at an Esee a little while ago, but I ended up going with Fallkniven F1. One of the nicest feeling knives I've handled.

A or B? My first quality camping fixed blade, help me decide: Bradford Guardian 3 vs Esee Model 3.

Great knife, bad sheath

 Get this fire going with feather sticks. It'S been freezing rain the last few days, so getting a dry tinder source out here could be tricky, so we're just gon na go. The road of feather sticks having the convex edge is great because it could be really hard on your edge and it's just gon na hold up it's uh. It'S not gon na wear it too

 The bleed length is three point. Eight inches overall length, eight point: three inches. The thickness is a very generous four point: five millimeters and it actually works well with this full convex grind, because although it is very thick here, it still has a very nice edge on it. The steel is laminated vg-10, with a 59 hard Rockwell scale

 I like to make sure my knife is gon na still be on me when I get rattled. Retail value is a Canadian around to 200 to 250 and US 150 to 180. I think it's worth every penny for a production knife. You cannot be this knife

 Secondly, to validate that this isn't an out-of-the-box review, I have actual experience using this knife in the field. I have used it to keep me alive in every season. I'Ve used it professionally. I have literally used it every day in the most remote areas of Ontario

Fallkniven F1 Review & Demonstration- LONG TERM USE

Ontario rat.  Different steels available (recommended on the Reddit’s and way under budget,  it’s a knife meant to be used and abused). Different steels for sharpening and edge retention and there is a smaller rat 2 for hand feel.

Esee izula.  Small fixed blade for any occasion. Many options for carry fits in pocket.  I’d suggest the s30v (or any stainless though the carbon is good just more maintenance)

Bradford guardian (different size blades, worn horizontal on belt so discreet). There are people on the knife Reddit’s that recommended these

  It is a bit thick of a blade for it to be a food knife but I could dice a onion just like with a chef knife no problem so yeah.  Good steel in the vg10 but better steel at the top of your budget.  I think there is a tan handled one that is better

I'm trying to decide on my first edc knife, and I'd like to make an informed decisions.

Please feel free to help me decide before I buy something just for how cool it looks.

 The leather sheath that came with it is top quality leather and well made.  Just go out and buy it, you will not be disappointed, its well worth the money

  Weight: The blade is balanced nicely with its center of gravity in the center of the knife. Its not a heavy knife but has a good weight to size ratio. This is a great knife to take on longer treks into the woods where every ounce makes a difference.  Quality: The blade and steel are top notch VG-10 good rust resistance and edge retention

I am looking at a Ontario RAT 5 on Amazon, but as I am not a fixed blade guy, nor a camper (not since my last deployment anyway), nor a backpacker (I joined the AF, not the Army!) I am a bit out of my element. (I thought the Morakniv would be great, but what do I know?)

Any help, suggestions, recommendations or commentary is welcome! It is Friday, Yay!

Fixed-Blade /Bushcraft/Backpacking Knife Recommendation Needed: UNDER $100

Great knife. They're made in Japan these days which is fine I guess but don't think their Swedish name means they're made there. They got popular so they outsourced it due to volume. Can't blame them but still

 I took some steak, chicken, vegetables, fruit and did a cutting comparison and the F1 cuts much smoother through everything. When people say it's like a hot knife through butter. They're talking about the F1.
