 It feels quite nice. Let's run through the specs, then we'll check out looks and then we'll play a bit and discuss certain issues. So this is the Fender Squier Classic Five fifties Tele Mnbb. Okay, so it has a pine body bolt-on maple neck, fretboard is maple Um, neck profile is C It has 21 narrow tall frets

 Now that was again down to the nut not being properly filed. [Music] [Music] You can do that funky stuff [Music] [Laughter] [Music] or [Music] [Applause] [Music] you [Music] [Music] um [Music] [Applause] [Music] So it sounds very nice. But why are these issues which are really problematic for this particular guitar? Why are they not necessarily a problem? Well, because every guitar that you buy will be an individual. that's regardless of price range

 This thing costs 398 Euros here in Europe. Uh, I don't know what goes for in the States. You can let me know in the comments, but that would be roughly 460ish dollars I think. uh, according to current currency rates, this thing looks the business

 The second issue was that you had kind of dead notes over here. [Music] Not quite as dead as my playing, but still. There were some dead notes and turns out the neck was all crooked. but that was easy enough to fix

Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster (This Has A Few Issues)

Guitar is excellent sounding. Nice feel/maple neck, vintage tuners and weight. But, the frets are kind of junky. They needed filing on both sides, as well as the tops/edging

Decent Guitar for the Money, but frets are sharp and weak.

 But what does it blend when that tone knob is at zero? All this guitar is all. the pickups are as just a straight single single single like any other Strat, but as you turn that tone knob up to 10, it blends in the full power of that humbucker no matter what other pickups you have activated at that point. So it really gives you not only a punchy, gritty sound in position five, but it also adds some bite into the neck pickup for position one if you wanted to. It really does give you a lot of flexibility when on stage, within the studio, and in my opinion, the Ultimate Strat is not a single single single coil

 If you've been a fan of The Channel for a little while, you know I love Porter pickups and they were able to provide me with these and they sound amazing. These stock pickups sound pretty good too, but these Porters are just on a whole different level. Now, The other major upgrade I did to this guitar is I replaced all the electronics with Emerson's blend wiring. Now what that does is it turns the lower tone control into a blend knob

 Not quite vintage style, but I love the look with that sort of black line running in between the two mint layers. I also have Porter's vintage custom Hss pickups in this. If you've been a fan of The Channel for a little while, you know I love Porter pickups and they were able to provide me with these and they sound amazing. These stock pickups sound pretty good too, but these Porters are just on a whole different level

 Many people are surprised that this is actually my number one guitar. not necessarily the first one I bought, it wasn't but this is the one that I play most either live on my tracks and just for fun. I've always been a Fender guy. I like the sleek shape, the feel of these guitars and that twangy, chimey sound that only telecasters and Stratocasters can give you

 Just a classic see. Very playable, very very comfortable. And I should mention the truss rod insert here uh, isn't plastic like on the player series? So all the made in Mexico guitars have kind of black plastic right here. here

 We've got a wood insert just like the American guitars. That's a really nice touch. Now moving on to the front face of the neck. Well, the frets are shined up beautifully

Is This Still The Best STRAT For Your Money? - Squier Classic Vibe!

 So for me, this guitar with a cup with a set of new pickups in it and you're good to go. Now the other thing I did notice about this one specifically and I'm wondering if they're doing this with a Squire. You can kind of see on the back the the piece of wood. the cut here is like a two-thirds one-third They're using pine on this body and they're also using pine on some of the new American stuff

 It has 21 narrow tall frets, a bone nut, and black dot inlays. Both of the pickups are Fender designed on the Co single coil pickups and it has your standard Fender three-way position switch position: one being the bridge pickup position, 2 being the bridge and the neck in position 3. You guessed it, the neck pickup. The controls are very simple

 This is going to go back to the bridge position [Applause] [Music] Let's go ahead and jump up to the neck position [Music] and let's do that in the middle position [Music] So let's do this. Let's throw a little drive on it. We'll see what that sounds [Music] like [Music] All right, let's jump up to the next [Music] [Applause] position [Music] Well, there you have it. I mean the Fender Squire

 But my takeaway is you can't go wrong with this guitar. The things that I would say if you're looking for a telecasters one, just understand: these pickups are voiced like vintage pickups so they're really twangy and really bitey. Two, this does have a gloss neck, so if you're not into the gloss neck thing, you're not going to be into this. But if the gloss neck doesn't bother you, then you're not

Haven't had a chance to play it. It arrived in just the product box(which had some bruises) after a thorough inspection I found a paint ship on the lower side of the neck pocket and a finish crack in the upper side of the pocket. Upon a closer look the neck has visible movement in the neck pocket as well as an audible squeak as it moves. I cleaned out the packaging and found the paint chip so likely happened in the warehouse or shipping
