 2nd, this has a switch that allows you to go quickly to a full-auto setting that can help you grab a quick shot opportunity that may be passing, or use while you are getting familiar with the camera. 3rd, this camera's ability to get exposure correct with the first shot not requiring a lot of subsequent tweaks of exposure compensation) is pretty good..

I'd really encourage you to try holding one before buying and consider how you intend to use it (and whether you'll be buying additional lenses), and working in raw processing. I'm sticking with my canons for the time being

A Contrarian's View - a Mixed Bag...

 Frequently just disconnects, and then there's no way to reconnect without going back to the camera and putting it back into wireless communication mode. I play in a band and wanted to use this to capture video of our sets, with a tablet beside me to stop/start the video. Once we're in the middle of a set, I can't get back up to go reset the camera. This last weekend it disconnected after the first song so I got no footage of the gig

 There's a main menu with 4 options (Remote control/ Browse photos/Receive images/geotag), but once you go into on option you can't get back to that meNu without disconnecting! So say you're taking some photos using the remote control feature and then want to switch to the Browse function to select a few photos and wirelessly transfer them to your phone. You can't do that! Because once you're in the Remote control function, there's no way back to the main menu! If you hit the back button on your phone, it just asks if you want to disconnect! The only way is to disconnect and reconnect, which again requires going over to the camera.  I feel like Fuji put as little effort as possible into the wireless functionality, like they did the bare minimum to be able to check that box on the spec sheet. They put no effort into making sure it was fully functional, that the app was designed halfway decently, etc

  I'm giving it three stars just because if you remove that component completely, it's a great camera, lots of other redeeming factors. I was tempted to give it a 1 star, just because of my frustration with the Wi-Fi. I honestly am thinking of selling it and getting something that has decent wireless capability and a sensible app.

Don't buy if you value wireless connectivity

I purchased the xt20 with the xf18-55 2.8-4. I have prior fuji experience (xpro1, xs100, xt2) so I am familiar with the menu system, which new users often complain about. I love the small size and image quality, although it is easy to over sharpen in camera raw

 The auto-focus acts much faster than the X-T1 I used to have, especially within the normal lighting. However the auto-focus has difficult time when I tried close up shooting (Macro mode in X-T1) with the XF 35mm F2 lens. I have to use the manual focus by adjusting the ring of the lens. I found there is an issue when review the photos I took

THE NOT SO GOOD: Where the battery compartment is located in relation to the tripod mount is pretty rediculous

 For this price I don't think there is anything you could get that compares. Fuji's glass is phenomenal. The video quality especially is really outstanding. You can shoot in a very flat "film simulation" which makes color grading a breeze

  A buddy of mine has a similar setup to this in canon, he has the 6D mk ii with the 24-70ii and we film often together. His setup is nearly 3x the cost of mine and I still prefer the Fuji in a non-professional setting.  THE GOOD: The combo of the xt20 and the 18-55 kit lens is stellar. The image quality is outstanding and the lens is reseanable fast

  I feel like for the price and the image quality, this camera is 5 stars. My complaints are extremely minor in reality. I wish I could give a 4.5

Coming from a film photo background this is my first quality digital camera

 Took it to a wedding this weekend and shot a ton of candids and videos. Pictures were razor sharp. The camera is so small and light. The video performance in low lighting was exceptional

 I wouldn't really call the lens lightweight at all, and it makes the camera seem very front heavy. It actually made my camera seem just about as heavy as my old canon rebel (with a little 50mm on it). I felt like a bit of an idiot that I didn't even consider how big and heavy the lens might be. Not to say that it's super heavy or anything, just not amazingly light like I was hoping

Weight of the lens offsets the lightness of the body

High quality, full featured, but easy to use, very small so grip issues may be of concern
