 But if/\s/you don't care about any of those extra features/\s/ or any of the polish that you typically find in/\s/the Garmin platform, then the Vertex 2 is a very/\s/ capable Gps watch. but again, for half the price/\s/and inversely, of course, if you don't need the/\s/ extra battery life, there's a slew of different/\s/phoenix 7 options that are far cheaper than the/\s/ high-end 7x Solar Sapphire, or even the 400-955 at/\s/500 bucks.  Yes, it's basically just A/\s/umbrella over the Phoenix 7 in terms of features/\s/ And to be clear, the Enduro 2 has Solar which gives/\s/that little extra battery life as well. Speaking of/\s/ which that's our next one. One of the big features/\s/of the Enduro 2 is the extended battery life I'm/\s/ going to throw on the screen right now A/\s/comparison chart between the Enduro 2 and/\s/ the Phoenix 7x series Phoenix 7x Solar, whatever/\s/you want to call it so you can kind of see those/\s/ differences side by side. Despite/\s/being auto select here is a hike

 Again, this is just a really challenging type of activity for these types of sensors to even track. There's certainly more variants here versus the other activities, but it's kind tended to be expected with risk-based Optical heart rate sensors and weight training. It's just kind of challenging. But I think overall it did a pretty decent job and also did a pretty good job with the high intensity intervals at the end

 However, the Enduro 2 is just a tiny bit thicker than the Phoenix 7x and the reason for this is that they made room for a bigger battery with the original Enduro. They kept the same dimensions as the Phoenix 6s, but they had to kind of gut the inside to get longer battery life. but they also gutted some features with the Enduro 2. They just said, let's just give people what they want and get all the features and make it just a little bit thicker to get longer battery life

 and I think it has a lot to do with that Ultra fit band. And then for weight training, there's going to be variables involved like ripping onto the dumbbells as well as a lot of varying arm movement. Again, this is just a really challenging type of activity for these types of sensors to even track. There's certainly more variants here versus the other activities, but it's kind tended to be expected with risk-based Optical heart rate sensors and weight training

 so you're basically paying 40 more bucks for longer battery life as well as that brighter flashlight is that worth it?  So when Garmin launched the original Enduro, they had one goal in mind: insane battery life and they certainly delivered on that front, but that came at a cost. Although the original Enduro shares many of the same features as the Phoenix 6X to get that insane battery life, they actually had to remove some features and one big feature in particular maps. And considering that the Enduro is aimed at the Elder endurance crowd, well, that's a pretty big deal. But Garmin listened

Great features, but heavy and uncomfortable.

I love this watch because it never runs out of battery.  I used it on an ultra running stage race (6 days, 165mi total) and didn't have any issues with battery life.  Also, during a normal month of training, I only have to charge it once a month.

I am a dedicated athlete, long-distance runner, weightlifter, and Kenpo Karate instructor.  I use my Garmin watch to monitor heart rate and sp02, and to track my daily workouts.  I upgraded from a forerunner to this gem of a fitness tracker.  I love everything about this watch except for the sleep tracking

I used a “ but” in the title because I came to fret about an excess of data that might have begun to interfere with my sleep and, frankly, mental state. So I’ve gone without the watch for 8 days and will carry on without the data through my next marathon and then will re-evaluate. Not wearing the watch means I am looking at Garmin and Strava only once every few days, sort of temporarily dropping out of social media
