 That was insane, so I decided that I have to have it. In the past few weeks, I've tested this workhorse in various activities and all-day heart rate monitoring. For the full result and discussion, you may click on the chapters below and skip to the part that interests you the most. We'll start with some specs

 The claim battery life is 14 days in smartwatch mode and up to 36 hours of GPS recording time. You can turn on battery saver mode which will basically turn all of your sensors and most functionality to get up to 48 days or max out the GPS time to 70 hours by reducing the sampling rate. Since I'm using the watch including music and maps, my personal battery experience time is much lower, so I need to charge it every few days. The Phoenix 6 has a water rating of 10 ATM, so you can swim with it in anywhere and immerse it in water, just don't go scuba diving with it

 Normally, the Phoenix 6 Pro is priced in about 650 US dollars, but as I told you at the beginning, I grabbed this one for $250 less, probably since a new model is coming soon. I think that you can find this one also today in a very great deal. Just check out Amazon or wherever you would like to buy. The Phoenix 6 comes in one of four variations

 If you look at heart rate measurement you can see that in most runs the Fenix 6 was consistent with the Polar Variety Sense while the Chorus Space 2, especially when I started the chunk of running of the 20 minutes all-out effort, the Chorus Space 2 couldn't catch up. My partner is getting into scuba diving, only small dives at this stage.
So, I was thinking of getting her something for her birthday that she can use while diving. 

I have a budget of around $400 and I've seen some Casio watches that have a water resistant of up to 200m.

I know Casio have a good reputation for being pretty durable, and I know that water resistance doesn't equal water proof. So, was wondering if the Casio 200m water resistant watches are suitable for recreational diving?

Appreciate any help.

 Inability to respond to texts from an iOS device, even with pre-scripted responses. 3. Inaccurate weather info. This one really bugged me, because I wanted at-a-glance realtime weather on my wrist

 Had it worked, I would have kept the Instinct 2.  As mentioned, if you want a gps enabled fitness watch, and don’t care about the shortcomings I’ve mentioned, either of these would work, but I think the real value is the Instinct 2.  As it stands, both of these watches left me wondering, “Why not just purchase a handheld Garmin GPS with an inherently larger screen for times when I need Garmin gps features? Or why not buy an Apple Watch for the premier smart watch experience and add the Workoutdoors app to it? Ultimately I put All Trails on my phone, and a regular watch on my wrist.

  As it stands, both of these watches left me wondering, “Why not just purchase a handheld Garmin GPS with an inherently larger screen for times when I need Garmin gps features? Or why not buy an Apple Watch for the premier smart watch experience and add the Workoutdoors app to it? Ultimately I put All Trails on my phone, and a regular watch on my wrist.

From a watch enthusiast perspective, needs improvement

 It's not as fast or as accurate as real oxygen saturation meters though, so don't use this to replace any medical devices or expect to have accurate readout in 15-minute chunks during your workout. The rest of the sensors on this watch are proven Garmin tech like the GPS positioning, wrist-based heart rate that is almost as good as a chest strap, and including running metrics like cadence. Lastly, this watch lasts. You can go days between charges with multiple workouts on the watch, or even put the watch into an ultra-low power setting for those of you crazy enough to do a multi-day workout

 This is a real reason why you buy a Garmin and not an Apple or Samsung competitor. Garmin is one of the industry leaders in athletic sensor data. Pulse ox is a new feature to the Garmin watches, and this estimates oxygen saturation content of your blood. This is really only useful to detect long-term trends, so if you're a hiker acclimating to new elevation or you're in a long multi-hour workout

 I think that's a good standard option for most athletes out there. So let's get into the benefits of this watch over others out there. You get built-in navigation. You've known Garmin for their GPS navigation systems for decades now, and this is one of the first times you can have the full offline map navigation on your wrist

Does anyone use any GPS watches (eg Garmin suunto) for ski tracking?

 Can other watches do these things? Probably… but so far I’m enjoying the improved life. I highly recommend a fitness watch generally speaking.

 They told me the one I got wasn’t meant to be sold on the American market. After the first watch, I explained the issue to Amazon but they didn’t have a way to check in advance so I risked a second attempt (bad idea). The third watch I got from Garmin directly didn’t pair with my phone, and eventually they sent me a replacement “recertified” watch. It was a pain to get to a working watch

 I did 0 research and bought it based on the recommendations from family. I’m mostly using it for running and also bought the heart rate chest strap (HRM Pro) which adjusts my heart rate zones. The watch basically runs my life now. It’s very addicting, but in a good way

 So, I’d be cautious about ordering this from Amazon.  With all that said… I love the watch. I did 0 research and bought it based on the recommendations from family. I’m mostly using it for running and also bought the heart rate chest strap (HRM Pro) which adjusts my heart rate zones

 Go ahead and like that like button on the bottom there or the subscribe button in particular, because there is a disturbing amount of new sports technology stuff coming. And the next 10 days that you do not want to miss out on, like seriously, it's my tracker sheet is, is concerning for my health right now, uh, but you're going to enjoy it. I think I hope have a good one.

 It's just me doing my thing. Also, if you want to check out my full interview down the description there, that's where I've got a lot more of the accuracy testing like elevation and GPS and heart rate, all that stuff that is kind of boring to watch in a video, but is detailed super deep down that video there across a whole bunch of sports and days and weeks and it's all there. Garmin Fenix 6 Review: 16 New Things To Know (Base/Pro ...

 It will never break through a certain threshold. For example, if I'm hiking up a hill and my HR is at 160, the watch will NEVER display a HR above 90-110. Now, if I switch to trail running during the same hike instead of the hiking activity, the HR will shoot up to where it actually is. This is a flaw I brought to Garmin's attention and they are aware of it but a lot of time hasn't passed yet and I do not know when it will be fixed

 You could buy it and use a chest strap for all activities which is up to you to decide if spending this much and having to use that is reasonable. The apple watch 4 or 5 are still far superior. I thought I'd use the maps feature more and I do find it incredibly useful, but because I train the way I do, having solid HR tracking is more important to me than the map features which I could probably find a solution for via my phone. I train everyday with lifting, running, cycling, swimming or some variation of HIIT training

Don't waste your money on this unless you don't care about HR data

Coming from Fenix 5X & Apple Watch Series 4, I'm disappointed with heart rate accuracy.

 I just want to go into the app very quickly. Let's just synchronise the watch. And this is what the app, I just wanted to give you a very quick look at the app. This is what the app looks like

 You haven't got the granular control over which notifications to turn on and off. You can either just have calls and texts only or everything. Something like that. I haven't found how to do sort of app by app notifications

 Also Andrew Walker, what's the notifications like when using it with the iPhone? Very good question. Good question to finish off on actually. This does smartphone notifications. So if one of my security cameras has motion detected, it will say motion detected

 Now, it comes supplied on this really nice supple strap. That's the first thing. The strap is really nice quality. Nice buckle as well
