 So one thing about this: actually there's going to be about three things about this: they hit the mark so good on this, but they missed it so far, let's get into those reasons. Okay, so, first off, like I said this does come straight out of the box: take starina sharp! So, on the plus side it does come out very sharp and with the s30v blade it is a very nice steel, easy to keep sharp and it stays sharp for a long time. If I can get this light to shimmer on here, just for a little bit, you can see exactly where Gerber really dropped the ball. On this blade, can you see the how deep of a edge that is right there, and if we come over here to the other side, you can see how shallow of an edge that is right there

Today, we're going to be looking at the gerber mini covert, auto in coyote brown, with a plain edge on it. I really do like this knife. It'S pretty quick to deploy it's very easy to carry

 Okay in the center could be a little bit better, but you know just one of the things they missed on when we're. When we're talking a hundred and forty dollars there shouldn't be any problems. There shouldn't be any bad things to say about knives when you're coming in at a price point around 140 dollars, like the benchmade mini grip right here. I don't have any complaints about this one here at all, except for I wish I did not get a serrated blade, so another thing that they really missed on on this particular knife is the safety

- The blade steel typical from Gerber can take a brutal edge. Which makes for a great little stabby-bits blade; But does not fair as well holding the edge. It’s a better tactical weapon than a multi-use EDC. But only if it were bigger

I own a LOT of knives. Gerber is a hit-or-miss maker for me. I typically either love or hate their knives. This is a rare one for me, as a Gerber knife left me with mixed feelings

 This went out the door at my local outdoor shop for 145 dollars and change pre-tax. It was about 134 um. Obviously, state tax your mileage may vary um nice product is giving me good use. So far

Hello, everybody. This is old soldier today, i'm going to do a product review on the gerber, applegate fairburne automatic, mini covert automatic knife, otherwise known as the switchblade uh. This caught my eye at the local outdoor shop. I'Ve always been a fan of gerber products

GERBER APPLEGATE-FAIRBURN MINI COVERT AUTOMATIC: SEXY LITTLE KNIFE

 Doesn't make me look a tough guy sticking way out of my pocket, is so light I barely notice it, but is solid and useful when I need it.  **Update: After ~2 months of use the knife has developed a wiggle in the blade, side to side, despite the torx screws being tight. Took a star away for this considering I don't exactly abuse this knife and its durability is surely questionable at this point.

Perfect but spring sounds ill

 The spring is very noisy and sounds like it’s rusty or needs some lube both opening and closing. On a positive note good size for the pocket and good on the safety in order to open and close. Overall in my opinion the knife isn’t worth $30 let alone $20.

Expected more from Gerber.

Sharp and FAST

 This one only has a thumb screw for opening and the locking mechanism works but no where near as smooth as you would expect. The abs plastic handle scales are bulky and doesn't grip well. I am a Gerber fan and I will make some mods to this knife to make it more comfortable for me but wouldn't buy it again.

Not a serious use knife

The blade does not open to the lock position with the "assisted open" feature. Action feel "gritty". I oiled the pivot point and even loosened the bolt. Still doesn't open fully assisted
