I narrowed it down to GNU Carbon Credit or GNU Money after watching top 5 beginner snowboards from SnowboardProCamp YouTube channel:. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1328wfq9-uo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2hvwH91r2k. I chose these because they have a Camber/Rocker/Camber design to help with turns and Magne-Traction to help with gripping edges.

The Carbon Credit is a very soft, cheap but easy to ride hybrid board with an asym shape. It is an entry level board, with low end materials and construction.

I went from a BTX camber profile board (156 GNU Carbon Credit 2015) to a 158 Capita DOA, I am probably overweight for both of these boards as a heads up. ​. However I caught my edge on the first run out while I was getting used to the slight rocker - cam - slight rocker profile of the DOA, but after trying it out on some mellow runs at low speeds, I have not had any issues... it feels a lot more stable then my old board at higher speeds, and the pop is significantly better... Turn initiation seems to take a little longer, but its still was manageable through some mellow tree sections, I am returning from a long break snowboarding too (3 years off, ridden 4 times this season, previously lived in Whistler for 3 years snowboarding weekends for 2 full seasons, plus maybe 10 days in my first season there.)

Im kind of a beginner to intermediate level, feeling pretty confident on my turns. When im on the mountain i pretty much like to ride off pist, when possible, where the snow is untouched, but i would also like to learn to do some carving. I can get a pretty good deal on the following options. GNU Carbon Credit Asym

The only board I've ridden recently is my '11 156W Gnu Carbon Credit. Its fun cruising, grips our NE ice, butters, super forgiving for my sloppy spins, but feels kinda slow when I'm trying to keep up with my ski friends despite waxing every \~10 days on the hill and it skids out and feels loose on turns and generally feels kind of 'weak' at speed.

I bought a used 2015 GNU Carbon Credit. It's great, but I've been out 4 times now and I'm progressing quickly.

I felt like the carbon credit was just a little too soft when i was going from the top and didnt feel too comfortable sending it at speed. I've progressed as a boarder a bit since I got the gnu and I am thinking about upgrading to a capita mercury 150 or 153.

Currently riding a 153 Gnu carbon credit with Burton customs, but this board just isn't doing it for me. Previous board was a late 90s 144 K2 Juju directional twin, which I really enjoyed but lacked a little playfulness. I am more of a on-snow tricks rider than park features, although I am getting acquainted with smaller boxes and rails. Wondering if I should go with the malavitas or genesis bindings.
