If you prefer using Google Assistant, consider the Google Nest Mini instead. Though it isn't as good as registering your voice as the Amazon Echo Dot Gen 4 in noisy rooms, it offers amazing voice assistant support with Google Assistant built-in. You can activate the speaker with your voice, and there's a mic mute button for when you no longer want it listening to you. Its mid-range is balanced out-of-the-box, so vocals and lead instruments reproduce accurately and with detail in the mix. You can also customize its sound to your liking thanks to the bass and treble adjustments available in its companion app. Unfortunately, like most speakers its size, it lacks a thumpy low-bass and doesn't get loud enough to fill large spaces. There's some compression present at max volume that degrades the quality of your audio as you bump up the volume. 

If you're looking for a speaker with Alexa built-in, go for the Amazon. However, consider the Google if you prefer a speaker with Google Assistant built-in.

If you prefer Google Assistant over Alexa, consider the Google Nest Mini. While it doesn't get as loud as the Amazon Echo Dot Gen 4, and its mic struggles to separate your voice from ambient noise around you, it has Google Assistant built-in. It also has a microphone mute button if you don't want the voice assistant to always listen to you. It supports Google Chromecast, which is nice for those who wirelessly stream audio from their smartphone to the speaker. Thanks to its well-balanced mid-range, it can reproduce vocal-centric content like podcasts clearly and accurately. My question is; can I set it so it just says “okay.” Instead of every following the ok? I just want it so say okay and then do it. Not all the speech after the “okay”

 First Up, let's talk about one of the big three features of the Nest Mini, which is playing music and media.. The Nest Mini's design lends itself to be a pretty great smart speaker for areas in your home that you don't really care about sound quality. For A $49 US dollar speaker that you can usually get for less than that, it actually sounds pretty good

 So. Let's go ahead and dive into some of the main features of this device, the setup, experience,, reliability,, downsides,, and then ultimately, if I recommend getting a Nest Mini. First Up, let's talk about one of the big three features of the Nest Mini, which is playing music and media.

Google Nest Mini Review - 6 Months Later

Convenient but does nothing extra.

 So about two meters. we're just gonna do a quick hey Google as you can see picks up on your voice and it can pick up on a number of different voices in your household as well and give personalized feedback right across the other side of the rooms probably about three meters away now. and I'm gonna get a noisy bit of TV on the go and see if the Google Nest mini can still pick up my voice clearly. So here we go: I'm using the TV hey, Google what's the weather like today high 68 There you go

 It covers a range of colors as well. You've got this all more stunning colors like black chalk or things like that. You've also got a sky-blue version and this lovely red model as well, which I believe they called coral which again looks really, really nice. And good news if you're a bit of an eco-warrior as well, because that fabric section there's actually crafted from 100% recycled plastic bottles interested me, and the rest is at least 35 percent recycled materials as well

 and I'm gonna get a noisy bit of TV on the go and see if the Google Nest mini can still pick up my voice clearly. So here we go: I'm using the TV hey, Google what's the weather like today high 68 There you go. She picks up a noise no problem, even with that noisy cartoon in the background and her response was suitably loud as well. so I could clearly hear those custom controls him to work in absolute treat as well as the voice control

 I cant connect a fourth light. It will show up in the google home app. When I select it it wont blink. I can try to connect but it wont work
