Downside, this machine is SO LOUD!!  I'm assuming most food processors are.  This is my first, so I have nothing to compare it to.  My husband was so bothered by the noise, he brought me his ear protection/earmuffs.  They are the ones that he wears on the flight line and has also worn at Nascar events

It seems ridiculous, but they really work great at protecting our precious hearing!  If you do decide to purchase this machine, I do recommend some sort of ear protection if you use it frequently.

Good machine, but LOUD!!
