It's so much easier to not have to scrape cookie batter of the center piece. The whisks I used for egg whites, macarons specifically, and so far I've had two wires snap on them

 The silver case is plastic, not chrome (who can afford that anymore?) The cord is hard-wired and stiff so it manages to always be in my way. It is powerful and rather loud. The extras are consumer bait. I threw out the ridiculous plastic "case" which was difficult to fit on the mixer

 The plastic handle has an unpleasant (to my skin) feel as if it's always oily and the power-surge button is placed right where I'd like to get a full hand grip on it. The beaters don't really need the ejector button as they are not locked into place and can be pulled out by hand. The silver case is plastic, not chrome (who can afford that anymore?) The cord is hard-wired and stiff so it manages to always be in my way. It is powerful and rather loud

Storage case will NOT "snap on" as advertised.

 The power switch is glitchy on mine. Don't know if it's a design flaw, but when I push the power button up it sometimes turns off instead of going faster. It's like there are dead zones in between the different speeds. It's odd but the appliance starts right back up with you reposition the power button

This mixer works great. It's very powerful, but unfortunately, the slowest setting is too fast for me. I expected it to be one I could use for small jobs, but it slings stuff everywhere if you don't have a deep bowl. My other issue is that it's very big, twice the size of my old cheapo that died after several years

 It will probably even do dough well as long as you can hold the bowl and this huge mixer at the same time.

Great for other people, just not for me.

This hand mixer is nice however, it is so darn heavy for what it is. My hand starts to cramp up when I use it. I used to have a cheap Proctor hand mixer I bought at Walmart but the motor burnt out. It's an okay product, its just too heavy

Only speed, fast and really fast

 I had the opportunity to get one of the name brand Kitchen Aid / Cuisinart hand mixers earlier this year, but I had gotten so used to the practicality of the attached storage case that I passed on buying the name brand ones.

 I like the Hamilton Beach line of hand mixers since they are cheap, and, from my experience with my housemate's hand mixer, they can stand up well to light/medium mixing jobs (about 3 years so far). I especially like the snap-on case in which to store all the attachments. I had the opportunity to get one of the name brand Kitchen Aid / Cuisinart hand mixers earlier this year, but I had gotten so used to the practicality of the attached storage case that I passed on buying the name brand ones.
