 I think the main thing that i'm feeling here is kind of two things are happening. Hoka shoes have a lot of stack height. This one has 27 millimeters of eva foam in the mid foot and a five millimeter drop, giving you 32 millimeters of eva in the heel as well. So there's a lot of eva foam in here and eva kind of changes over time it compresses a little bit uh and so the the ride and what you're feeling is going to change slightly over time

 It'S not a shoe that i'd want to take to a track. Workout, for example, there's just a lot of shoe here. It comes in at 9.1 ounces, which makes it a little bit of a heavier shoe, and it's got all that stack height so again, not something that i want for a super fast day, but for something where you maybe you're going to go for a long run

 As far as the outsole goes, the rubber is holding up very well, as is the midsole foam. All the white stuff that you're seeing here that you're running directly on uh is also holding up really well. The rubber on the forefoot is actually holding up much better than i was expecting. Nothing is unduly worn

 It just feels like there's a lot of midsole. It feels like there's a lot of outsole feel like there's a lot of upper there's a lot of kind of everything here, there's a lot of shoe here, but it's working and it's all very comfortable. Hoka Clifton 7 - After 100 Miles

Did 16km yesterday and was still fresh - today did another recovery run and feel good.

I knew I had to get new shoes. Not to mention sudden onset of knee pain, shin splits and IT band issues. Did my research and decided to try on the Hoka Clifton 7. I heard they were a bit narrow so I decided to go 1/2 size up and gave them my first try yesterday

 This is the one that you go to. We want the Hoka own aione. Now this shoe is lighter in my thing. Go

 It has a good amount of rubber good enough to add some grip and some durability, but not too much to wear ways to shoe down it's a good balance so as the clipping 7, the best clipping. Yet I would say yes and no. The quickness 6 had a great fit, and this clipping 7 is a very similar fit snug in the mid foot and a wider toe box, much better than those old-school Hocus and just an overall comfortable fit and the color options. This year looks 10 times better than ever before less highlighter or random stuff going on

5. They were very cushiony and soft, but just too snug/tight on my feet. I had to return them. I would say to go up a 1/2 size, from your regular size, when ordering

 I didn't feel like I felt locked down, but it just felt a little sloppy. I just put it high, you know what it reminded me of um, the New Balance, beacon, v1 or v2. Even they, both just, I feel like the eyelet chain, could have a little more something to it. A little more uniformity like a little more structure to that eyelet chain

 Alright, let's dive into it here we go 5 millimeter drop from heel to toe in the Hoka Clifton 7. Ok - and this is I'll, say right now available August 2020. I think I read autist. First, it's gon na be released so coming up very soon

 Unfortunately, I was not able to find the women's size eight weight. I apologize, but in my size is usually very similar comparable to the women's size, eight, so in my size, we're looking at eight point: zero, eight or eight point: zero, four ounces, which is two hundred and twenty-eight grams for the hooker Clifton seven and, as I'm always Saying in the shoe, do I always love when running shoe companies are able to keep the same weight from the previous year's iteration or maybe just trim off a little bit and that's what HoCo is able to do with the Clifton seven and onto the upper? The top of the shoe that wraps around your foot, I got to say I don't know if this is my number one point on the upper, but the breathability is amazing. They nailed it on lots of good airflow, especially like today, like I already said ninety degrees out there Fahrenheit ninety degrees Fahrenheit in Denver. It'S it's just hot

 I mean the cushion okay. The softness of the midsole is yes like butter. Just like I mean it is such a soft. In fact, I will say it's gon na be in the mid 90s in Denver all week and the midsole, like I don't know if it's just the temperatures like I just ran in them this morning

Hoka Clifton 7 Review after 50 Miles

  Super smooth for &gt;threshold efforts. Feel like I'm gliding with good form. Sweet spot for me would be steady tempo or &gt;1k intervals, e.g

 Not a fan, I just don't gel with them. Have been using them for long runs (20-25k) with for example 3x4k efforts, which is where their sweet spot should be for me. Endorphin Speed's would be my preferred choice in retrospect for this kind of run. (4/10)

Super Comfortable Shoes!

 I just think the main thing i would point out is we got a little bit of space in this area. The midsole of the clifton 7 is made of hoka's full compression eva delivering you a nice soft hoka signature feel we have an early stage meta rocker in this shoe as well, that helps to roll you forward in your stride and a slightly beveled heel for a Smoother transition, the clifton 7 definitely feels softer than where i had left off running in which was like before i mean, there's no comparison. This is absolutely softer and, like i said, i have the clifton six just for casual wear, and this feels a lot softer than that. This is a very soft protective shoe

 Once i would cinch down the laces, i would get a nice lock down fit through the midfoot of the shoe. So, even though i had a lot of room here, i felt pretty secure because of this lockdown area and also because of the sturdy heel counter. So, overall, i do really like this upper. I, like the material

 What do i think, what are my full thoughts on the clifton 7.? This shoe did absolutely get me excited about clifton's again. I think it's a nice fairly lightweight package that will protect your foot and gives you that nice cushiony pillowy feeling that hocus are supposed to give you. It gives me hope that hoka is back on track with this clifton lineup

 That'S gon na baby, your foot and you're gon na feel like you're, walking or running on a pillow. Then this is exactly the shoe that you should be putting on your foot. I mean it is so ridiculously comfortable. Another positive to this midsole foam is that while it's soft, i don't feel like it's really lost any of its life over the course of 50 miles
