Two plastic models that stood out from the pack were the HOMWE Kitchen 3-Piece Set and the OXO Good Grips Carving and Cutting Board. While both models are well designed and solid, the HOMWE Kitchen edged out the OXO Good Grips as our favorite plastic board. Three great sizes provide plenty of versatility, and all our testers love the rubberized pads that help keep it in place. The textured surface proves to be more blade-friendly than many other plastic options, with tough and durable plastic. We appreciate that it's dishwasher safe, and its handles make pulling it out of deep cabinets as easy as it gets. 
While we can appreciate this model, there are a few downsides to plastic in general. It's more durable, but it will dull knives faster, necessitating more frequent blade sharpening than hardwood and bamboo options. We also don't love that the knives will produce cuts on the board, which can harbor bacteria. This means that a model needs to be replaced more often. This is true in our testing with this product. Still, if you're in the market for a low-priced plastic design, this value pack is a wonderful option to consider.

These are extremely affordable cutting boards. I don’t know what took me so long to replace my old scratched, stained boards. This is a set of 3 boards that come in the perfect sizes for a variety of kitchen tasks. The big board is great for meats and large cutting jobs, the medium when you need to cut an onion or vegetables and the small is great when you just need to slice a few things

A nice set at a good price

These are exactly what I expected them to be. All that nonsense in the negative reviews about them requiring a towel to be placed under them to prevent them from slipping? After working in professional kitchens for 15 years, that's what you do to keep a cutting board in place, automatically. I was actually pleasantly surprised to find that you don't need to do this with these.

What I expected, and more!

First off, I have to say they are durable as h-e-double hockey sticks. My roommate turned on the oven and forgot there was one of the cutting boards in there (we had a cake cooling on it! Don't judge me.) Anywho, when we noticed, the oven was already hot. The cutting board was somehow unaffected! Don't try this at home, kids

Is it possible to love a cutting board? I was so tired of the thin colored plastic set we had. Not to be dramatic, but it was killing a little piece of my soul each time I'd use one of them, and pieces of food would go rolling off the bowed sides of those darn curled up, warped pieces of junk. Cutting boards aren't your typical exciting purchase, but I finally broke down and bought these, and as weird as it may sound, I found joy in chopping vegetables again! Or maybe I'm just feeling the absence of the extreme frustrations caused by the wonky warped set that I've now gladly thrown away. So is it love or just being pulled back from the brink of insanity? Who knows, but these cutting boards are freakin' great!

 With a three set more than one person can be helping me with meal prep and I actually am able to wash these in the dishwasher on the bottom rack. I'm still careful to not do heated dry though! The handle makes for easy grabbing as well as you could hang it to store. The curved edges help SOME with keeping food from falling off but I wish they were a little deeper to be most effective.

I had a bamboo cutting board, as I was trying to be eco friendly, but even with hand washing it, it ended up with cuts in the wood as well as cracks at the seams.  Making these boards easy to handle and work with in the kitchen. Too new to speak to the longevity of the product. Even if it is only good for a few years it is priced right for replacing them again with the same product. I am impressed with the response from the people that make the product

 Plastic was just not what I decided to end up using. After a few uses, I decided to switch to wooden cutting boards for their design, sanitation and relative softness. I requested a refund/return directly from HomWe via e-mail and received a response same-day. Jane Marie was very nice and authorized a refund

Not for me, but still satisfied

 The HOMWE boards with built-in feet and reversible sides are a weekly use in my house. So far the only complaint is the noticeable deep cut marks on the board's surface when using my large/heavy chef knife. Seems a little early but with proper care and some occasional light sanding, I suspect the units will last a few years.

 They also feature a groove around the edge, so liquids are less likely to spill. I really like these cutting boards. They are easy to clean and sanitize. Highly recommended!

When purchasing the Amazon Basic knife set (reviewed elsewhere) it comes no surprise that I needed some cutting boards. I dismissed wood block cutting boards (because I think they're a pain to sanitize) as I wanted to cut fruits and veggies as well as meats. These plastic cutting boards are nicely suited to all tasks. Coming in a set of three different sizes, they are 2 sided, with a nice hand hold

All 3 boards have served my purposes for food prep activities both on the sink counter AND near the stovetop. The largest size works well for cutting a variety of salad veggies, the medium size is ideal for resting a cooked roast [red meat or a fish filet] before slicing into serving portions, and the smallest size is handy for slicing muffins before toasting, and for nut and herb chopping. I have cleaned all the boards manually and sanitized them quickly in the microwave [25 secs on high], which I prefer to using the dishwasher, which I only run when the load is full.
