 So this is what I'm attempting to show through this demonstration. It switches on here, via this switch and touch-sensitive panel on the top of the air, purifier, nice and clear and bright, and it has five different power levels selected by the purification selection switch here.   I bought two air cleaners at the same time to get a feel for what I want/need in my home. In addition to this item, I boughtWinix PlasmaWave 5300 Air Cleaner Model .  I opened the Honeywell first and placed it in my bedroom. After reading the instructions, I put it on setting 4 and told it to oscillate in my bedroom

Moderate quality unit

 They are not HEPA filters, but they are filters nonetheless. So the air moves through all of that. It then moves through the front of the unit, so the air then moves through the front of the unit and it moves through two outlets. There'S two rectangular outlets, one on the bottom, one on the top

 Most other air purifiers are going to distribute air out of the top of the unit and that's going to allow for better clean air distribution throughout a room and that's why those units are made that way. However, this unit prioritizes moving the air in a certain direction. So that users can use it as a fan and if that's something that you like, if that's something that you're interested in - and that is certainly a positive thing about this unit. What do we not like about this unit by far the biggest problem we have of this unit is the fact that it is not equipped with HEPA filters

 The manufacturer does make certain claims and those claims make it appear as though the filter is capable of doing as much as HEPA or close to as much as HEPA. However, our testing has shown our research has shown that these permanent filters are simply not viable alternative to hepa filtration. If you are at all concerned about getting a high level of particle filtration in your air purifier, this unit will do it, but it will not do it nearly as well as a unit equipped with a HEPA filter. Finally, our last gripe with the unit is the fact that it is a little bit on the expensive side

 So compare this unit to other top-rated units on the market. We do like the fact that this unit can double as a fan. That is something that is going to be useful for a lot of users for a lot of use. Cases, however, like we said earlier in this review, the fact that you're not getting HEPA level filtration precludes that, yes, you are getting in appliance that is going to lower particle concentration in the room and is going to also double as a fan

Honeywell AirGenius 5 Review

 I would not place this unit in my bedroom with the intent to sleep while the unit is running. It's too loud. In comparison, my Rabbit Air filter is truly whisper-quiet.  My next complaint is the lack of an 'auto' mode which I found on most other air purifiers

 Even on lowest setting, the noise can be heard from the room next door. And no, my unit is not rattling, it's just the air moving noise. I would not place this unit in my bedroom with the intent to sleep while the unit is running. It's too loud

 I like to have that "White noise," effect at night, but this rattling forces me to turn off the machine at night. I have since returned the unit to Honeywell for a new one, and am still waiting. I was a disappointed that they would not pay the shipping for the return - thought that was pretty lame of them. You pay $180 for a product, run it for a couple months, return for a new unit, and they can't pay the shipping? Pretty cheesy

 My wife has mild allergies, and she believes it helps a bit, but nothing like some of these reviews. For anyone to say that this, or any air cleaner, is so good that you don't have to dust your house anymore, is, I believe, quite laughable. I like the fact that I don't have to replace the main filter like a lot of other air cleaners, but now I'm wondering if that feature is all its cracked up to be.  Also, this machine starting making a slight rattling noise early on, at all speed levels; sounds like a loose bearing

THIS UNIT IS...OK.  HAD TO RETURN FOR REPLACEMENT

 What i like about the nine technologies is this: besides getting rid of pollen viruses, odors and dust, it also helps the immune system work less because you're covering more bases getting more things out of the air nine ways, so the body can rest and recover.  Is what it'll cover so it's kind of a small room, air purifier and so easy math there between the price and square footage. It'S about a dollar, a foot, that's kind of expensive for any air purifier, even one that has more than two technologies and no hepa. So the two filters we just mentioned: uh: it's got a five year, limited warranty. If you have to return it, it's going to cost you the shipping back to the manufacturer, plus you have to send them a check for 15 dollars for them to send it back to you

 Now here's an interesting thing about it: it's not a hepa filter. You do have to replace it every number of years, even though it says permanent, it's not even in their manual that says every three years you've got to change it. One of the things about it is, you can actually see through it. So it's not a hepa filter and it's only going to gather about a tenth as much dust and hair, but as you can see, as i'm looking at the sun here, you can see through the filter

 Pops off inside is a little thin foam piece of foam and that's washable. So that's going to pick up some dust and hair and then you have your honeywell filter. Now here's an interesting thing about it: it's not a hepa filter. You do have to replace it every number of years, even though it says permanent, it's not even in their manual that says every three years you've got to change it
