HP Reverb G2: Worst software, buggy as hell, controllers suck, resolution is very nice but the thing doesn't work half the time. So far the best is Index.

And both have the far superior Oculus Touch controllers, which are simply more comfortable (and less prone to battery door accidents). £600 for HP Reverb G2 for HMD and controllers. £720 for Vive Pro 2 HDM only with built-in headphones on the strap. £2K for Varjo Aero headset only, no controllers, no basestations, not even headphones. The lenses are what make it for me, that's all, but not for that amount.

Despite my IPD incompatibility, I'm blown away by the HP Reverb G2. It's truly a leap forward over other, lower-res headsets

Also, the wiring on the G2 is abysmal, and the thick connecting wire makes it a huge pain in the tail to adjust the left side of the HMD. It slides back and forth along the velcro strap, but, because the large wire is clipped into the back of the HMD / left side, you have to feed it through that tiny clip every time you want to adjust the left side, again, the amount of motions and time this takes is incredibly obnoxious.

Index is $1000 with less then stellar visuals, Vive Pro 2 is even more expensive with easily the worst optics of any VR headset I have ever used and the HP Reverb G2 is so frustratingly close to being awesome. It's tracking just kind of kills it in a lot of situations. If FB didn't exist, I really doubt VR would be in a better place. The entry point for VR is just too absurd for most people to make.

- You love the HP reverb 2 **but** hate the small FOV. - You love the index **but** you are willing to have tiny decrease in vFOV and a slightly larger hFOV, much higher resolution AND richer colors.
