 You look at a laptop like the G15, the G14, the M16, even the Legion 5i Pro and the Legion 5 Pro, no SD card slot. So that's a big benefit of the Victus. Now battery life is something that I would say I'm disappointed in. Intel has not been popular for their battery life results lately and that's still the case here with the HP Victus

 Now the PassMark productivity, which would be like running video calls, browsing the internet, maybe listening to music, it's just below eight hours. But then when you look at video editing and Photoshop battery life, it's well below three hours of battery life and it just to me is a little bit of a disappointment, especially when you have Ryzen processors performing so well for battery life. So just keep that in mind, this is something you're concerned about, battery life, then I would maybe look towards a different laptop. But keep that charger along with you and you won't have any problems

Moderate laptop with okay battery life, and some caveats

 This is something found in the HP Omen 16 with the RTX 3060 i7 variant. It has a MUX switch and it really does help improve battery life. And speaking of battery life, that would be the third thing that I'm disappointed with about the HP Victus. It just doesn't do well, especially for creator tasks

 And what that really helps with is battery life and performance optimization. Let's say you're just doing a lot of productivity tasks. You don't need all that performance for productivity tasks, but what you do want is battery life. The MUX switch, M-U-X, allows you to access better battery life by turning off the dedicated GPU

 I get just over an hour and a half of battery life while video editing, and I get just over two hours while doing Photoshop work. So it's just not a great battery life, especially for how heavy this laptop is. It's about five pounds and it does have a 70 watt hour battery, which I wish gave us more battery life while we're on the go. But you're definitely gonna wanna bring that charger along with you if you're using the HP Victus

 And speaking of battery life, that would be the third thing that I'm disappointed with about the HP Victus. It just doesn't do well, especially for creator tasks. 6 Months Later 💥 HP Victus

 Gaming laptops mostly don’t have good battery life. They are all mostly 5 pounds and adding the power brick I wouldn’t be so sure about light and portability.

Probably the acer nitro 5, ideapad gaming 3, asus tuf or fx series, hp victus, dell g15, hp pavilion gaming. Depend on your use case of gaming, you may want a ryzen laptop instead since they can play esports title fine and modern titles at 720p 30, their advantage is battery life. Gaming laptops mostly don’t have good battery life. They are all mostly 5 pounds and adding the power brick I wouldn’t be so sure about light and portability
