Great monitor but keeps reseting the settings itself

Been hunting for a budget WQHD monitor for some time now, and landed on the Sceptre E345B-QUT168 and HP X34 around $400 for IPS. Recently got the Gigabyte G34WQC VA panel for $300 on B&H back-order since that deal ends on April 8. (MFR# has the A model but contrast is 3000 in the specs). I kept seeing the G34WQC was the best value WQHD but that was just over a year ago, not sure how that holds up today

After buying the Huawei Mateview GT and putting up with it for a week, I've decided to return it. I just cannot face the ghosting unfortunately. I Wish I'd done more research into VA Panels before purchasing. Even though playing with settings and overdrive etc ive got it to the bare minimum, I still notice it. And when I drag something onto my old 27 inch Iiyama its just so much crisper.

So I'm now looking for recommendations for a 34" ultrawide 1440p 144hz gaming monitor. Almost definitely has to be an IPS Panel unless someone has found a certain VA with no ghosting at all.

I would prefer curved, as thats now what ive been using and like it, but its not essential.

Ideally around £500, would push to £600, maybe £700 absolute max if its perfect.

The emphasis here is the PC is only really used for gaming. So im not TOO fussed about HDR, or 10 bit colours etc, although they would be nice. But low input lag/response times etc are important.

Ive spent hours searching online and theres so many options with good and bad reviews would rather hear from people who actually have or have used ones and are happy with them.

34" 1440p Gaming Monitor Recommendations?

 Some of this is probably due to the viewing angle (because the screen is so wide), but even at 6 feet away there is still some brightness fall off at either side. This aspect of the screen's performance may or may not be important to you. If it isn't, then I think you could be very happy with this monitor.

 (See attached images.) When you are viewing the monitor at what I consider a normal working distance (approximately arm's length) the center portion of the screen is very noticeably brighter than both sides. Some of this is probably due to the viewing angle (because the screen is so wide), but even at 6 feet away there is still some brightness fall off at either side. This aspect of the screen's performance may or may not be important to you

* Xiaomi Mi Curved 34 4350 NOK  


Is it worth paying more for the IPS panel, or should I get the cheapest one which is VA? I am open for other recommendations as well.  
(The prices seem high because electronics in Norway are expensive)
