You think the sound of Jabra elite 7 pro is good?

OK - hear me out. My girlfriend alerted me to certain earbuds looking like "Shrek ears" on the Redmi Buds 3 Pro I tried out, and I saw it - these ones have it too, but worse. Jokes (kind of) aside:

* The sound quality and ANC/transparency is quite good but the in-ear-detection isn't and the app could do with some upgrades;
   *  The in-ear-detection takes around 1-2 seconds to actually pause the audio - the old Jabra Elite Active 75t are faster and they're around 1.5(?) years older
   * Coming from a Jabra ecosystem, their app is much better in terms of convenience. How can that be, more convenient? On my Pixel phone, the Jabra Sound+ app sits in my notification tray when earbuds are in use for quick setting changes on the fly, like switching ANC or transparency on/off, to different EQ preset profiles, etc.  I was quite disappointed these didn't have that.
* I HATE the case. It's much more finicky than a standard case. Let me drop them in without having to wiggle them around.
   * Shiny-ish materials on the buds and inside the case? You know these go in ears and fingers are all over them, right? I wish they used matte colors/materials instead of the ones they used on this. Definitely go with the lighter color models if you decide to get these.
* The battery life isn't great at all
* Multipoint is good to have, and for $90 on Prime Day (and regularly goes on sale for $130... keep your eye out!!), that isn't bad. There are cheaper buds like the Redmi Buds 3/4 Pro and JLab Pro that have multipoint under a $75 MSRP if anyone is wondering. Just don't expect multipoint to be amazing at the lowest price bracket (but then again, its a bit messy even on high-end earbuds at times)

Maybe the Liberty 4 Pro's or another Soundcore model will give us a smaller form factor with some of these issues addressed? Multipoint and Independent buds

App support is so so and no multipoint unfortunately. Huawei FreeBuds Pro - good sound, fit is ok once you switch the tips to Azla, similar controls to airpod Pro. Noise cancellation slightly weaker than the APP. App support again ok but nothing special

So is it just agreed that if you use apple products that the APP are the best choice or have some of you found better alternatives? I’d say I’m pretty deep in the Apple ecosystem but I’m willing to branch out for better headphones, especially if they stay in the ear better.

Alternatives to Air pod Pro

I got the Huawei Freebuds pro for their ANC and they are almost perfect
The only downside, i can't get a perfect fit on my right ear. No matter what i do it starts falling and it also starting hurting after a few minutes
I was hoping i could get use to them but it's been a few days and no luck
Should I keep trying or just re sell them?

Would the Life P3 be a good option to replace the Freebuds?

PD: i got the Life dot 2 and they fit great

help, need suggestion

Now ik huawei isnt that popular in the USA so this post is mostly about the liberty air 2 pros:. Sound quality: I've tested the huawei's sound quality, its pretty dope and pretty accurate. I came from sennys momentum tws so sound quality is important to me.

Right now I'm using Huawei freebuds 2 pro, they work great, but I'd like to upgrade to something more crisp and dynamic. A thing I really enjoy is feeling the sudden strong bass some songs have. My budget is 500Dollars/5000kr. I live in Norway btw ^^

Hi all -- I'm looking to upgrade my computer speakers and would like some advice... 

I've been using the wired version of the Logitech z207 for about 6 years. They've been decent for the $20 I spent on them but I've decided that it's time to upgrade. 

I've been drooling over the Harman Kardon Sound Sticks for as long as I can remember. Now that I can finally afford to get a pair, I'm not sure which to get (version III or IV), or whether I should get them at all. There are plenty of reviews on v3. The more mainstream reviews rave about their sound but then I come onto Reddit and people say that they're not that good and that the Kanto YU2 or the Audioengine A2+ would be better purchases. 

Then there's version 4, the newest pair off the block. I honestly haven't been able to find that many reviews on them. From what I've seen, they're fairly comparable to v3 but it seems like HK subtracted features such as volume control on the satellites, a physical balancing knob on the subwoofer, and the kicker - a physical connection. By default the speakers connect via bluetooth rather than a 3.5mm jack. Theres support for a physical connection but an aux cable doesn't come in the box. I've also read that when using the aux connection there's a bit of delay when pressing play and that the speakers will go to sleep when not playing. In reviews I've read on Amazon people have said that these issues are non-existent when they connect via bluetooth, strangely. That has me scratching my head. Last, I heard there's an audible hum when the speakers are on but not being used? That doesn't sound ideal... 

I like the look of the version 4 a bit more than the version 3 but based on the detractors, it seems like version 3 would be a better purchase... 

Can anybody give me the scoop on the HK Sound Sticks v4? Or should I not even bother with them and go for the Kantos given that they're at the same price point?

What I really want is a pair of high end tower speakers and the best user interface (as close to Sonos simplicity as possible). Unfortunately I am living in a condo with kids where my wife is not OK with large tower speakers taking up much needed real estate.  Currently using Sonos Five x 2, Playbar, Sonos Sub, Sonos One with Alexa. Primary use is Pandora Premium.

So while the Tower speakers may not be in my immediate future, eventually we will move to a larger place where they will be acceptable. My thought was, to purchase something that can be combined with tower speakers later on, perhaps as surrounds or such? I am not sure if that would even make any sense, since Music is our primary use far over movies.

Would it be better to buy the bookshelf speakers and get my feet wet into audiophile territory? Or just sit with the Sonos until I’m able to buy towers? The nice thing is that Sonos do hold their resale value a bit, so at least I would have a start on paying for the new gear.

So I have a Technics SL-1200 with a DiscMaster cartridge and stylus that I recently dusted off out of storage. I bought a pair of Edifier R1280T bookshelf speakers. My question is about phono-preamp. I've always used a DJ Mixer as my preamp but I would like something more living room friendly. It doesn't have to be expensive - maybe $100-300.

I wanted to upgrade my stereo setup. Currently I have a Denon PMA 510ae + a pair of Dali Spektor 1. I'm using it almost 100% for listening music. Mostly Metal & Rock music. As source serves my windows pc with a Realtek ALC1200 codec. That's why I was thinking to get a dac because I think this would be the easiest way to improve the sound quality of my setup. Budget is max. 150€.   


After purchasing the dac the next step would be a subwoofer, also max budget 150€.   
Any suggestions?

Budget: < $100.00 USD
Gadget/Gear: USB to SPDIF/Toslink optical converter
Usage: To complete the least expensive (poor man's solution) streaming setup that has the least possible signal conversion. I'd like to know how my old gear behaves with the highest quality streaming signal.
Owned gear: Yamaha Natural sound A/V Receiver HTR 5730. It's part of an old Home Theater setup that includes 5.1 speakers and sub. I'm so used to how it reproduces audio that I don't want to upgrade it just because audio is now mostly streamed.
Intended Source: TIDAL subscription on a recent model HP gaming laptop. I did thought of hooking up the 3.5mm audio jack, but then the laptop would be doing the DAC portion and the sound card isn't the best. Also, tried over BT but again, the BT receiver DAC quality won't help. When I looked at one of the inputs, the SPDIF/Optical, I can tell the Yamaha's DSP will be doing the conversion. So then I thought about taking the streaming directly to it and have it replace any DAC along the way. 
Type of Music: Audio only. To play songs. I enjoy an eclectic range, so hard to tell. But I enjoy Jazz, Orchestra, Rock an some loud EDM.
Used? Yes, if somebody has some old gadget lying around unused, I'm willing to make an offer. 

I did try Amazon and Ebay without much success, only a few options for a very dedicated gadget and with mixed reviews and results.

Also, tried over BT but again, the BT receiver DAC quality won&#39;t help. When I looked at one of the inputs, the SPDIF/Optical, I can tell the Yamaha&#39;s DSP will be doing the conversion. So then I thought about taking the streaming directly to it and have it replace any DAC along the way. 
Type of Music: Audio only. To play songs. I enjoy an eclectic range, so hard to tell. But I enjoy Jazz, Orchestra, Rock an some loud EDM.
Used? Yes, if somebody has some old gadget lying around unused, I&#39;m willing to make an offer. </p>

<p>I did try Amazon and Ebay without much success, only a few options for a very dedicated gadget and with mixed reviews and results. </p>

I have some Mordaunt Short MS20i Pearl Edition speakers which sound good, apart from the fact that when playing a track with low frequencies  (often hip-hop or EDM) they make a floppy/rattling sound which completely ruins the track. What could potentially be causing this? Is it common for speakers to do this for bass frequencies that are out of their range?

Hello. I'm pretty new to sound systems and there is a lot that I don't understand. So far I've only ever listened to my own music pretty much exclusively with headphones. I want to listen to the radio in my room, so I'm looking for a receiver that will meet the needs of a pair of speakers that I like.

The speakers I'm going with are the 3030i from Q acoustics, with the walnut finish. I may also add the 3090Ci Center Speaker. 

While this system is intended to be used solely for listening to music, I will probably want to expand it in the future and use it for other things, so I'm looking for a compact, simple, but still decently high-quality receiver that fits my immediate needs and will allow for expansion in the future. Since I'm spending $400 - $600 on the speakers I'd like to keep the receiver down to the $400 range. Major bonus points for simplicity and style.

I got a NAD AMP 1 which I really like as I previously had a Yamaha surround AV receiver, which I just used stereo in direct mode. This amp is doing just that and nothing more. It works and sound great so far, still I am wondering if this is normal:

When powering off, there is a loud pop sound only on the left channel. I swapped speakers and cables to rule those out as a source. It is definitely coming from the left channel of the amp. Is this ok and to be expected or is it a reason to send it back because there is something wrong?

As my old Yamaha did nothing comparable and that’s my only other experience, I would appreciate some input from those who know more than I do.

I'm not an audiophile, don't know much about all the technical nuances, I simply want something that would give me high quality sound. My "setup" is a PC and active speakers, that's it. I did some research, but I still have a few questions:

For example, is frequency range important? Because I've seen cheaper speakers go up to 40 kHz and more expensive ones only 20 kHz.

2. **2.1 or 2.0?** Which one is considered to be better? I currently have Creative Inspire T3100, which is 2.1. What differences could I notice if I switched to 2.0. Would bass be worse or do low frequencies come from the normal speakers just as well as from a subwoofer?

I've been thinking of upgrading for a while now as I've been using my Logitech Z623 for around 10 years now and I want to explore the world of hifi.

As the Z623 were bought for €150 back in the day, I was thinking about going towards around €800 max. I bought the Klipsch R-41PM together with the R-100SW sub as they are active speakers. I really enjoyed the quality of the bookshelves a lot, it was a total different experience already. However, the moment I really wanted to go loud, they just lacked that little bit... So my stepdad wanted to keep them as I was going to return them to try out passive speakers.

I was at the brink of ordering the LS50 Meta (which already totally exceeds my €800 max budget, as I had mentally already raised it to €2000) with some type of receiver and a Bowers & Wilkins ASW610 sub. At that moment, my brother urged me to go listen to a demo in a store for the LS50 Meta as he totally disliked them when he heard it. So I skipped the ordering online and went to a store.

I explained on the phone I'm looking for hifi speakers around my budget accompanied by a *receiver* and a sub. I wanted a receiver because I didn't really find any amps with wifi possibilities. Right now I always turn on my tv to play Spotify on my speakers, but I'd like to just be able to play music via wifi. the Klipsch R-41PM had bluetooth, but it sometimes randomly started lagging and God... Music getting interrupted can just ruin the whole song... So that's why I don't want bluetooth, but wifi. Also, to be future proof, I'd like 5.1. I want to have the option to, whenever I buy a house, to make this a surround setup, if that's possible. I made an appointment and went.

He had the LS50 Meta wired up to a Hegel H95. The sound was impeccable to me... It was crazy to experience that the sound appears to come from straight in front of you and it totally doesn't sound like the speakers are creating this sound, it's like it's magically in the room. I then asked him to raise the volume. He did and at a certain point with electronic music ([a total banger fyi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r8b9fq-EKA)) the speakers had loads of trouble producing a nice sound. He claimed it's because the hole in the back is too small for the amount of air that needs to be pushed through, so I needed to try out other speakers if I wanted to go as loud. He also mentioned by now the amplifier cost €1700 which totally made me go over budget already (€1200 LS50 Meta + €1700 amp without cables...).

The salesman had already told me the Hegel H95 had UPnP, so this would already be a solution to my streaming-over-wifi need. However, the H95 only is 2.0 as well, so I'd need extra stuff to ever make this surround... I feel like the speakers are so good I'd totally not quickly make it surround... But it bothers me a bit that there's such limited possibilities... The salesman told me that good speakers need good amplifying... It makes sense and I read about it that speakers last the longest when they're powered correctly (or at least break the easiest by not being powered correctly).

He then let me hear the ATC SCM11 speakers, again wired to the Hegel H95. To me that was also really nice, but less nice than the LS50 Meta in terms of "magically filling the room". However, it was still great *and* they managed to achieve a volume I liked. However, again even more exceeding my budget (€1700 SCM11 + €1700 amp without cables). At this moment I realised though that a sub was maybe unnecessary as these speakers totally reached that bass level, to my surprise.

He then also still let me hear the Klipsch The Fives, that was also good in terms of volume, but less nice in terms of sound quality (in comparison to the SCM11 and LS50 Meta of course).

Now I'm having a rough time constantly thinking about this. I got a quotation of €3600 with 2x3m Chord C-screen speaker cable terminated. This has gone way out of proportion, but I'd be up to pay the amount... I'm just very much in doubt if the amp needs to be as expensive, if I won't regret one day not having picked a 5.1 supporting amp/receiver... I want some opinions here from people who have a lot of knowledge about this, because I have no one in my environment who can help me other than people who have a benefit of selling the stuff.

I briefly also considered tower speakers because I'd think those might more easily reach loud and rich bass tones because they're more split up than bookshelves... I just still wanted to add that I considered this, maybe the overall idea could be that this is a totally valid approach.

So i've had the Logitech 5.1 X-540 computer speakers forever and love them, but i'm considering upgrading. So i'm trying to fix up my Logitech z-2300 2.1 speaker setup that i bought ages ago because i have an affinity to it. I have two issues that i need to fix and am looking to get some input on it. The issues are as follow:  
1. The rubber surround on one of the satellite speakers cracked at some point, i'm assuming from temperature or overuse. I ended up cutting out the cracked parts, but the speaker still crackles with the right notes/tones/volume. Can someone point me in the right direction of places to buy decent, good value rubber surrounds, the right adhesive to apply to it, and tips on the process?  
2. The subwoofer port rattles a little bit if the volume is turned up a little bit. The only thing i can think of is that the port is loose inside the hole its' in, but am unsure how to fix it or fill the gap. Or if the port can even be removed to attempt anything. Has anybody dealt with this before?

hello i will be setting up a recently purchased used 5.1 surround sound setup soon for my growing library of inherited and purchased sacds and dvd audio albums, and i would like to incorporate my everyday desktop pc in with it for audirvana playback. if i am currently using a schiit modi 3+ to a jds atom amp for all my headphones and pre amp to edifier 1700bts speakers, what is the best option with what i currently have? incorporating the modi via usb somehow? or does the reciever hooked up with hdmi make the schitt dac sort of obsolete now? I have the choice between using a denon avr-s540bt or a onkyo tx-nr686 receivers. i know i am asking a lot of av receiver questions but my end goal would be to listen to 5.1 surround sound tracks with movies/shows/games as an afterthought really. thank you
