 And on paper Huawei's ANC can deliver an impressive 40 decibels of noise cancellation. And I've been using these exclusively as my earbuds and what I like to do sometimes when I'm driving in my car is have one earbud in just in case someone phones me I can use that. And actually that ear which the earbud is in the amount of car noise that's blocked out is really surprising. I have tested out a lot of ANC earbuds and these are up there definitely in the top three right now that I've ever tested

 Awesome feature if you ask me. Dual connectivity. Now if you're going on a long journey something that's going to be really really important is battery life. And the Huawei FreeBuds Pro have 30 hours or up to 30 hours battery life with ANC switched off

 The combination of this with the mics placed at the top and bottom of each stem allow the earbuds to cancel out more wind noise and Huawei call this a dual anti-wind design. That for me is an awesome feature. I know we've seen it before but Huawei have really nailed it here when it comes to that. So on the software side of things Huawei have thrown in a dynamic adaptive equalizer which will basically use that bone conduction mic to try and fine-tune the audio using the equalizer so that the sound is perfect for you

 And now on to the usability section. So an upgrade from last year's FreeBuds 3 is the new 11 millimeter magnetic drivers and the inclusion of silicon tips. And there are three different ones to choose from and in the Huawei AI life app you can even find out which ones are the best for you using the software which is pretty interesting. So the silicon tips in my opinion are fantastic as they will help their FreeBuds Pro to stay more secured in your ears but they will also assist with the adaptive noise cancelling with their passive noise cancelling qualities

Huawei Freebuds Pro Review - The New True-Wireless ANC Champ?

Sound quality is good, ANC is good. The only i gave this 3 starts is because its "not at all" for sport purposes. The material is slippery and would instantly fall out when there's any sort of moisture in the ear.  Also, it needs its own eartips so any standard or off the shelf eartips won't work

 The dynamic mode is set as standard and I found this to be a little mediocre, but when cranking up the settings within the AI Life app, you'll start to notice a difference in background noise reduction. Cosy is used for places with little noise and seems to work the least. The general mode lowered background noise enough for my comfort levels, but the ultra option takes things up a notch further still. When out in public, a rarity of course due to the global pandemic, I found the general mode to be substantial enough when in parks and public spaces

 And thankfully, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro don't need to be plugged into charge. Overall, the biggest criticism I have of the FreeBuds Pro is that they are already a little late to the market. While they are pretty solid, most people will already have a solid pair of earbuds already. However, that said, if you are on the lookout for a pair of earbuds that offer some impressive noise cancellation and are willing to use an application to manage the added functions and features, then the Huawei FreeBuds Pro might prove to be an enticing prospect

 Each earbud has a 52.5 mAh battery, which is enough to last a good few hours without actually dying. Overall, in the space of a week, I've managed around 20 hours total from the case and earbuds before needing or seeking a charger when using noise cancellation quite extensively. Having wireless charging is almost essential for myself with regards to earbuds

Recommendations for wireless buds with multipoint

 I tested these with airplane white noise from You Tube and I have to say I was amazed. Really brilliant. You'll appreciate that ANC earbuds work best will constant low level noise as opposed to top end shouting or hi pitch. But these are right up there with the very best ( Bose/ Apple/ Sony)

 But if (like me) you need/ want that sound that gives you all the detail and makes you go wow you will head over to Sony or Bose.

 Its not that they are bad, they are really good, but they are 90% of what Sony XF 1000 M4 or new Bose Quiet Comfort buds are for music sound quality, whereas the the Apple Air pods pro are 95% ( they have other benefits of playing really nice with Iphones). Now this maybe good enough for you and you may well love them. But if (like me) you need/ want that sound that gives you all the detail and makes you go wow you will head over to Sony or Bose.

 If you're in an environment where the noise starts and stops though, like in a cafe or outdoors, you might notice the ANC levels shifting quite a bit. Personally, I prefer just using the ultra setting. Huawei also claims there's a specific aircraft noise cancellation curve that helps to eliminate noise from flights. And unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to test this yet, but I will be pitting it against the new AirPods Pro 2 on an upcoming flight

 I am very impressed with how good the ANC is in these earbuds. Of course, there's the dynamic setting which auto adjusts the ANC intensity based on the surrounding noise, and it works quite well if the noise is constant, like a fan or air conditioner. If you're in an environment where the noise starts and stops though, like in a cafe or outdoors, you might notice the ANC levels shifting quite a bit. Personally, I prefer just using the ultra setting

 The case looks, well, pretty much identical to the older FreeBuds Pro really. The only big difference I can find externally is the addition of the DVLA word on the back, which is due to Huawei collaborating with the French audio company. Aside from that, we still get the USB-C charging port on the bottom as well as a charging and battery indicator LED. There are three colors, silver frost, ceramic white, and a gorgeous silver blue that we unfortunately didn't get

 Huawei's audio offerings have always been quite impressive. I really like the FreeBuds Pro earbuds when they launched back in 2020. Well, we have these new earbuds with us today and they build on that great foundation and make it even better. Hey guys, we have the new Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 and while they are more expensive than the original FreeBuds Pro at 298 Singapore dollars, I would say that the improvements are actually worth the added cash

OnePlus Nord Buds or Huawei Freebuds 3?

  I was looking for multipoint so that I could listen to music from my personal phone, yet take calls from my work mobile. I was also looking for earbuds that offered the same function on each bud; changing tracks; increasing volume and so on. Again many offerings only give functionality per earbud, not both. So perhaps volume up one the left and down on the right

 They should take a leaf from the Bose sports neck band headphones which verbally state the phone /s they're connected too!  Overall, I would recommend these though as they have a degree of noise cancellation, four mics, so clear voice calls and not too expensive.

  Why only 4 and not 5 stars? Well whilst these are great in many ways, as I've described, the one thing they lack is a clear indication as to when they're connected to the device. Good but could be great.....Almost there!

 So the FreeBuds 3 used to get about four, four and a half hours of use per charge. I found that with the FreeBuds Pro, I got between seven and eight hours of use, that's with ANC knocked off. With ANC on, you can reduce that by about an hour or two, but even then it's still pretty decent for a pair of true wireless earbuds. And when the FreeBuds Pro do need to recharge, no worries at all, just slip them back inside of their little coffin

 Definitely a very strong pair of true wireless earbuds and basically what the FreeBuds 3 should have been. They've finally fixed the design issue, they've boosted up that ANC and yeah, if you want noise cancellation and a pair of wireless earbuds, job done. So are you tempted by the FreeBuds Pro or perhaps you've been using them yourself?  So when I reviewed Huawei's FreeBuds 3 True Wireless Earbuds, I found that they were good in a lot of ways, but also fatally flawed because of that hard-shelled design, which for one made them about as comfortable to shove in your ears as a pair of pinecones, and also basically rendered that active noise cancellation completely pointless. But thankfully that design has been completely refreshed for the new Huawei FreeBuds Pro, which were another pair of premium True Wireless Earbuds, this time supporting some very smart active noise cancellation and, huzzah, some actual silicone tips. But are these dinky buds actually worth splurging on? Well, I've had them lodged in my lug holes all week long, and here is my full Huawei FreeBuds Pro review.  So what you've got here is a triple mic setup. And you've also got the same bone conduction tech from the FreeBuds 3 as well, just detects exactly when you're speaking and helps to cut out all of the external crap going on all around you. Huawei's even chucked in an anti-wind filter, which has got nothing to do with that vindaloo you had last night. And the result is basically crystal clear clarity when you're on a phone call
