When it comes to health I think this is where the Huawei Band 6 really shines because it's designed for those getting into health and fitness and might want something that's not over complicated but is actually easy to use. So with this you're getting over 96 workout modes with automatic workout detection which is important because if you forget to actually start the workout then this will be very very helpful and for those that are still new to working out there's real time data monitoring and workout inspiration to help you to keep going and understanding what works best for you

 So I think this is certainly something that's going to appeal to those that don't want to be charging daily. I've been impressed with the Huawei Band 6 particularly because you know when you factor all the features in this compact form factor and then take a look at the price point of just 229 dirhams which is around 65 US dollars it's a compelling smart band option worth considering. The Huawei Band 6 comes in graphite black, Sakura pink, Amber sunrise or the one that I have on my wrist forest green.  Here, the Honor Band 6 fits the description quite well and looks like a solid variable on a budget. But before moving forward with the review, I have to mention its similarity with the Huawei Band 6. Both fitness bands are almost the same, although Huawei's alternative packs more features while being a little expensive as well. Anyway, let's start this review with the design

 Summing it all up, the Honor Band 6 ups the stake with its bigger display and impressive battery life. Even though the company has some work cut out for it, especially in terms of optimizing the automatic workout detection, I think the Honor Band 6 is worth the money. So yeah, if you are looking for a no-nonsense fitness tracker, this one is definitely a worthy option to consider. So that is all for this video

 Compared to the Honor Band 5 from back in 2019, the Band 6 here comes with a bigger form factor because of its larger display. Still, the silicone strap is not as wide to comply with the dimensions of the band. Unlike other fitness bands, it still employs a traditional loop buckle design. The strap also holds sufficient adjustment holes so that it fits every wrist

 As a result, I've had no issues putting it on and I don't mind having it on even when I go to sleep. More importantly, the silicone strap is really comfortable and has not resulted in any sort of skin irritation issues throughout my usage. Also, it uses the company's proprietary strap so finding a replacement for this one could be an unfruitful adventure. Adding a bit of flair is the home button on the right frame with a nifty red accent

 It tracks pulse and steps. Unfortunately, it's not a full feature watch so it's going back.

For fitness it's probably good

 With that I mean, does it count any steps when it's not supposed to count steps? For instance when I'm typing or cycling? I also want to see how it performs on other people. Overall I think the Huawei Band 6 performed reasonably well. The heart rate measurements were ok, though it showed some issues for the sessions where I sweated a lot. As we've seen for most wrist worn wearables, it does not pick up on all the peaks in heart rate during weight lifting

 In a future video I'll do an even more detailed step counting test. In that video I also want to test if the Huawei Watch 6 gives any false positive steps. With that I mean, does it count any steps when it's not supposed to count steps? For instance when I'm typing or cycling? I also want to see how it performs on other people. Overall I think the Huawei Band 6 performed reasonably well

 Finally, the step counting accuracy was also pretty good, with the Huawei Band 6 counting the correct number of steps while walking. So should you buy the Huawei Band 6? Well in general I'm pretty positive about it. If you want to track your SPO2 levels, need okay sleep tracking during cardio and you just want to track your total time in bed with decent step counting, then yes I would recommend it. On the other hand, if you want a wrist worn wearable that tracks your heart rate and SPO2 accurately under all circumstances, then you should get an Apple Watch

 In my videos I do scientific tests on different devices like the Oro Ring, the Fitbit and the ScanWatch and in the end I hope to use tracking to improve my life.  Now these are the actual steps counted by the Huawei Band 6 when I was wearing it on my left arm and as you can see they are pretty close to the actual 1000 steps I took for each of the 5 segments, however it does tend to over count ever so slightly. Just to put it into perspective, here are the steps counted by the Galaxy Watch 3 I wore at the same time. As you can see they generally performed about equally well, however the Galaxy Watch tends to under count whereas the Huawei Band 6 tends to over count. Overall the step counting was very accurate

The band itself is the most comfortable I have ever worn. The screen is great and the strap is just right. However the software app did not work correctly on my Pixel 3 XL. The customer support person said she would send me a link where I could download the lastest version

 Now looking at the back of the box, we have the key features such as 1.47-inch AMOLED display, fast charging, long battery life, 24 hours heart rate monitoring, stress test, sleep tracking, auto workout detection, 10 sports modes and it's also 5ATM water resistant. Now let's open the box and show you the content. So on the top we have the smart band itself and here we have the black variant and apart from that, it's available in two more colors, Sandstone Grey which we have here with us and also in the Coral Pink

 One thing I should tell you is that the size of this smart band is not that small like the previous fitness band from honor or be it any other company and it's also not big like a smart watch. But in terms of the design and quality, it's very good and I find this new design attractive. Now in terms of the overview, in the front we have the 1.47-inch large color AMOLED display with 2

 And in this, we can enable true sleep feature, which monitors your sleep pattern and can accurately detect if you're in deep, light or REM sleep. And during our testing, we find this data pretty accurate, which is similar to previous on our band versions. And in the settings, we have the notification settings, and here in this, you can select the apps for which you want the notification on your band. And talking about it, here is how you get the call alert

 And in this smart band, you can reject the call from the band itself. And here is how you get the message alert, so you don't get the preset replies option as well as the emoji support in this smart band. So overall, the honor band 6 offers a beautiful design and a good build quality. The display quality is by far the best I have seen in this segment
