 My Corsair takes a lot of space on my desk and I really want like something without like the numpad here and when I do like some LAN I just want to you know a small keyboard that I can carry with me. So first of all this keyboard has a solid steel plate frame so you will feel like the build quality is amazing. I paid that 65 bucks Canadian dollar and Prime Day but normally you will see it at 89 Canadian dollar so it's a pretty decent price because this keyboard is using Cherry MX. So this version of this keyboard I took the red one so the linear one before I play with blue switch, brown switch and honestly for gaming I really recommend the red one

The only thing is when you have to type I don't know on Facebook messenger or whatever school stuff you have to practice a little bit because I mistyped a lot with this. My previous Razer Black Widow had an issue with the cable so you as you can see on this keyboard you can just like change it and you will have no problem with it. So for the price honestly build quality amazing I really like the switch I like the key cap also nothing fancy you don't have any driver with it or software so everything is on the keyboard so for an example if I want to change the brightness I have to press the function key and move it and if I want to have like some special effect as you can see I think I have like six different effect on the keyboard so no RGB for sure it's just 65 bucks so you just have the red color but honestly it does the job amazing keyboard I played for the past two weeks with it and I don't think I'm gonna go back with my Corsair not because I don't like my Corsair but I really like that the fit on my desk with this keyboard it's small and it's really tight everything is like really good on it so yeah that's about it guys I recommend this keyboard honestly at 89 bucks just buy it I don't think you will find it at $65 Canadian right now maybe on Black Friday because it was like kind of like an amazing deal honestly on the prime day but if you were looking for thank you less a keyboard and you don't mind to pay for RGB but you don't mind to don't to not have RGB because I saw a lot of thank you less keyboard with RGB and they are like $150 and more so that's kind of expensive to just have RGB lights so that's about it if you have any question about the keyboard just coming in the YouTube section I will try to help the best that I can and don't forget to subscribe to that channel thank you very much guys peace

 For example, There are a lot of orange colors I would like to use for this keyboard. However, whenever I try to put that orange color on the keyboard, it just looks either yellow or pale brown (the latter of which is bizzare to see, as I don't think RGB lights are supposed to produce brown light). That's just the RGB lighting itself, just wait until you try to use their NGenuity software, as it's just not good. The legacy software is somewhat good, although it's legacy, meaning that they are moving onto a newer piece of software

 It has a very small actuation force, and it only needs to travel about a millimeter or so to activate, so if you rest your hands on your keyboard, make sure not to press too hard (or at all really). The RGB, however, is lackluster. The RGB sucks at color replication; I look up some RGB value for a color that I really like, but when I try to apply it to the keyboard, it just looks.

The keyboard itself is good. It feels good to type on, and it feels very sturdy. It has a very small actuation force, and it only needs to travel about a millimeter or so to activate, so if you rest your hands on your keyboard, make sure not to press too hard (or at all really).  I mean it's actually made of a solid chunk of metal and so it is a really really well built high quality construction keyboard right there. Another pro for it I love that it's a solid black color it doesn't have any crazy color schemes going on with it doesn't have one key that's offset or anything like that everything is just solid black across there minus the leds and uh and I really like that. I think it kind of just goes well with almost any color scheme you're going for your for your room unless if you're just going for solid white. Another pro that it has is that it has a really nice long braided cable it's like a paracord type braided cable

 And the final con that I have is the little rubber pads on the legs themselves if you have to slide this keyboard at all those rubber pads pop off every single time I can't even count the number of times I've found those little rubber pads sitting underneath the keyboard and I just put them back on. Thankfully the keyboard is heavy enough that really it doesn't have any issues sliding around or moving around on me but that is just something to note that you should be aware of. So now that we've hit the pros and we've hit the cons of this keyboard let's hit some side notes on it. One side note that I actually did kind of like is that it has some good macro functions to actually change the led pattern so yeah it is it's just stuck with red but you can change the way that pattern looks you can make it respond to just the touch of a key you can make it flash and you know you got a few different options with it so you're not just stuck with just plain red showing all the time or turning it off

 I bought this keyboard out of my own pocket and I've been using it for about a year now so everything you're going to see is how the condition of this thing has held up for over a year of constant use. That way I can give you guys an honest opinion of how good this keyboard actually is and at the time of this video this keyboard actually lives for about $69.99 on Amazon and Best Buy and especially with the holidays being here it kind of goes on on a bigger sale than that from time to time. So keep a look at it sometimes they'll knock it off about five to ten dollars on sale

 There's absolutely no flex when typing and that increases both typing and gaming accuracy. There's a single USB charging port at the back of the keyboard which is a convenient way to charge your mobile devices but I would have preferred an extra USB port for data transfers from hard drives or flash drives because this single port only passes power. The main cable on the other hand is removable and braided in a tight mesh. I prefer this type of approach over pre-attached cables because it provides easier routing to my PC and it's user replaceable

 This is a very simple looking gaming keyboard in a compact form factor that's been engineered for portability and durability. The black solid steel frame throughout the chassis compliments a robust build which is always a welcome feature at this price point.  Unfortunately, this information is not provided in the manual nor on the website. It's very disappointing to have all the marketing material drowning out useful information that is missing but good thing they've added that portion after we brought it up. The lighting on the Alloy FPS is pretty basic but that's by design rather than anything else. All the keys are individually backlit by the red LED and while RGB is a trend these days, it's not easy to find a fully mechanical keyboard with Cherry switches and RGB for under $120

 You'll easily experience finger fatigue after hours of gameplay given the slightly stronger actuation force. There are angle adjustments for appropriate elevation and the textured rubber grips at the bottom do a great job preventing the keyboard from sliding around your desk. So to answer my question at the beginning of this video, is the HyperX Alloy FPS gaming mechanical keyboard worth every penny? I personally don't think so but that might not be the same for you. You see, I love the compact form factor and I think it's perfect for travel especially for LAN events

Anyway, moving past that, whenever I try to use the Fn+Fx keys to change profiles, the keyboard fails to respond to any input unless I plug it out and back in. Uninstalling Ngenuity puts the keyboard in that same state and I cannot use it at all. Restarting the computer makes me unable to log in without the on screen keyboard because since Ngenuity is not there, I can't type.

The HyperX Alloy FPS Pro is a gamer’s dream: quality Cherry MX Red switches and minimalistic design to maximize desktop real estate. All in an affordable (under $100) package.  Unlike some reviewers, my focus is mainly on how the keyboard holds up in long gaming sessions - 10+ hours playing Fortnite scrims, playground practices, etc.  Design wise, the TKL version is perfect for 180 turns in Fortnite - even on the smallest of desks or mats

Lastly, mechanical keys that feel fast and responsive as you change weapons and put up walls and ramps. In good faith, I cannot recommend this keyboard to "serious" gamers.

 Starting off with the design, HyperX is going for a minimalistic look here, so there's barely any bezel. It's very compact and has a much smaller footprint than what you'll find from Razer, Logitech, or Corsair. It also has a very low profile, here it is side by side with my Corsair K70. All of the keys sit above the frame, so there's nowhere for dust or hair to hide

 They're now entering the growing mechanical keyboard market. The Alloy FPS is an affordable, compact, and portable keyboard that retails for $99. I'll put a link below if you'd like to check out the latest price or purchase. Opening up the box, HyperX did a great job packaging this, and it feels like you're unboxing an expensive piece of hardware

 So even if you're not a PC gamer, I'd still recommend everyone try out a mechanical keyboard. Cause it's hard to go back. Here's a sample of what it sounds like to type on a mechanical keyboard. There are 6 LED backlight modes, which you can cycle through using the function and right or left arrow keys, solid which is constant LED backlighting, and in any mode you can adjust the intensity with the function and the up or down keys

 It's very simple to program, just press the function and control keys to enter programming mode, press any keys that you'd like to stay lit, and then press function and control again to lock it in. Also included are textured red keycaps for the WASD and 1234 keys if you'd like to swap those out. They include a removal tool that makes pulling the keycaps out really simple. When it comes to gaming performance, the keyboard has a gaming mode that'll disable the windows key to prevent interrupting your game, and the alloy FPS also features anti ghosting and full end key rollover, which basically means that every keystroke is registered and executed instantly no matter how many keys you press at the same time
