iFi Zen DAC V2

Today I completed my work setup with the ifi Zen Dac V2 and 58x and couldn't be happier. I have yet to compare the 58x with the 650 on the same gear but what I do know is that this combo sounds great, and it's exactly what I was wanting for office listening. I'm a therapist and the time in between sessions is never enough and has typically been spent doom scrolling or staring at a wall. Rather than a strictly critical listening approach, I wanted something to shift my mood and give me a much needed recharge.

Recently bought an iFi Zen DAC V2 and a pair of Hifiman Sundaras, to upgrade from HD58Xs and a Sennheiser GSX1000. The Sundaras sound so much wider than my HD58Xs, as well as just separating everything better. There are records, I couldn't stand on the 58Xs, that sound so much better on the Sundaras.

Pairing with an iFi Zen Dac v2 unbalanced. Looking to replace the stock pads with the ZMF Auteur's due to larger ears and a new cable. Initial impression on the clamping on the jaw after about 30-40mins isn't ideal but currently stretching these over a tissue box to loosen it up a little.

I think these headphones are amazing all-rounders, especially when paired with the Ifi Zen Dac v2 (with TRUEBASS on). The bass is nicely detailed, though a bit lacking in quantity—hence the TRUEBASS—, the mids are just magnificent and the highs are nice too.
