Some folks might like the simplicity that this device offers, but it is also very basic. This model can only take forehead readings despite the infrared technology and futuristic aesthetic. It has no memory or color-coded backlights and does not measure the temperature of inanimate objects. It also tends to be one of the more expensive models. However, if you need a straightforward and highly accurate product, this one is your best bet.

 Make sure the tilt is correctly aligning the thermometer face with the forehead (tilt to make it parallel to the forehead). Then press and hold the button. The temp should come right up. The thermometer is easy to hold and the reading is a light blue color

It seems you need the right steps in using this thermometer. First don't press the button before you position the thermometer close (but not touching) the forehead. Make sure the tilt is correctly aligning the thermometer face with the forehead (tilt to make it parallel to the forehead). Then press and hold the button

Convenient and easy to use, at the cost of accuracy

 At least the one I received does. Keep that in mind if you purchase it. Other than that it's exceptionally easy to use and to read, even in bright light.

 It stayed like that for several weeks and I finally took the batteries out. What a disappointment. I thought mine was just a fluke. Well, then my boyfriends’s elderly father became ill with pneumonia, NOT Covid, thankfully

 I purchased two more- one for my boyfriend, who lives in his own house next door(we have a committed 16-yr relationship, we just prefer to each have our own stuff :) and I bought one for my 23 yr old who moved out after college graduation and moved 1,900 miles away to his dream location- Whitefish, Montana. I believed in this product that much. We all used them regularly, as this was back at the height of Summer 2020, Fall/Winter 2020/2021, when the Global Pandemic was horrific and each of our employers were requiring daily temp reading reports multiple times per day, even when working remotely from home. Then, mine started to read out crazy temps! One day I felt fine and it stayed I had a 107

 I am just sad that companies like this can take advantage of people who are struggling like me and there is nothing we can do about it. It happens frequently, and I do a lot of research before ai purchase! Fake reviewers are used and that is SO unfair because real purchasers and accurate, honest reviewers like me try to help and then the fake, paid reviewers just get the stars for crap products and us consumers can’t determine the food from the bad. Amazon should protect us, but they don’t. They want sales

 I waited until his trip was over and he was safe back at his college. My sister and I went to one of my follow up appointments with my neurosurgeons when he had some additional test results to discuss with me and we had discussed surgery options, so that I would be prepared for the full disclosure with my son and have solutions to outline with him. Found it useful when my baby had her first fever, especially when Covid first broke out where I live. The first time she felt a little warmer than usual, I had a feeling she was staering a fever, but just wasn’t sure. The thermometer came in handy to confirm. And I still use it and will keep using it for the next baby
