Instant Pot Pro 8Qt

This time I remember to put the cover on and it is very useful.

Size is not important as I want the 8qt one. I understand that the pro has dedicated yogurt and rice buttons, but those are easily replicated on the pro crisp. I also know you can favourite 5 functions which seems nice but not a huge deal for me.

Love the Instant Pot. As an unskilled cook it is awesome.

The lock pin in the bottom of the lid actuates that clip as it slides over the sprocket shaped area around the top of the base. If there is no pressure than the skinny neck of the float pin allows to clip to move around it. If there's any pressure than the float pin valve is raised and its thicker bottom prevents the clip from moving past the hole. I would suspect that the majority of your issue is due to something either with the Steam Release Handle or the Float Pin Valve.

oo much water. I was trying to make 4 cups/scoops of rice, and should have added 24 ounces of water (1:1) but instead I added 4 cups of water (32 ounces), which meant that I had a cup or 8 ounces too much water. This of course resulted in totally mushy rice, which was made even worse because I followed the directions and did a release after waiting only 10 minutes.
