CR’s take: We’re used to seeing iRobot vacuums in our robotic ratings, where there are at least five at any given time. But the iRobot H1 H121020 hand vac is the first to break into our handheld ranks. It performs well overall and is especially good at cleaning bare floors and picking up pet hair, earning Excellent scores. The rotating brush attachment makes good contact with surfaces, helping boost its pickup scores. It has a trigger that allows you to turn the vacuum on and off or you can lock it and let the iRobot run. The battery lasts for about 17 minutes when running on high. It weighs just over 3 pounds, which is about average for the handhelds we test.

The iRobot H1 is one of the best hand vacuums for pet hair we've tested if you suffer from allergies and require superb air filtration performance. While it's a lot pricier than the Wyze Handheld Vacuum, its dual-layer filtration system allows it to easily capture fine allergens like pet dander, even compared to other models with just a HEPA filter. It also does an exceptional job of dealing with pet hair on bare floors as well as rugs and carpets. Its miniature turbo brush attachment is quite effective for dealing with pet hair on upholstered surfaces, though the brushroll inside isn't removable and is consequently quite difficult to clean.

This vacuum is on the bulky side for a handheld vacuum and isn't as easy to stow away as a smaller alternative like the BISSELL AeroSlim. Thankfully, it does feel very well-built and can run for up to almost half an hour on a single charge, which will be more than sufficient for most spot-cleaning tasks. You can increase its suction power for dealing with especially stubborn messes by using the 'Max' suction switch, though running it in this power mode decreases its battery life to roughly 10 minutes.

The iRobot H1 is a cordless handheld vacuum. It's well-built, easy to move around, and offers great overall performance on low and high-pile carpet. Depending on your usage habits, it also has a relatively long battery life for a handheld vacuum. However, it's somewhat demanding in terms of regular maintenance and incurs a couple of recurring costs

 However if Eufy isn't willing to revise the filter to make the product actually functional, I'll be returning it as well as revising this review accordingly.  I get the impression that Eufy is a company that will work to improve their product, especially when it only involves changing one small disposable part, so I hope I'm not wrong on this.  But for now, I can't recommend this to anyone, as it is right now. I do hope I can change this recommendation in the coming weeks, as I really like it, if it would seal

If you don't revise the filter so it can seal better, you might as well mark these down to $6.99 now, because that's about all they're worth.  It just needs to have a stiff plastic rim that fits tightly into the vacuum, plus it needs to have a small o-ring groove and an o-ring to make a right seal against the dirt cup. Much like the o-ring that holds the outer cover on. I know it's cheaper to make the filters out of just plastic without having to add an o-ring to them, but without it, this vacuum is a HUGE failure. This inexpensive plastic filter is letting down the entire vacuum

The vacuum is great! The filters, how they are currently designed, are a FATAL design flaw

This vacuum originally caught out eye due to the compact design. When our last handheld bit the dust, we landed on eufy as a replacement. It works really well for what we wanted it for; mainly to pick up small debris, cat litter, crumbs, etc. Obviously due to the size it's not meant to clean your whole house

It's a nice easy to use vaccum for light duty cleanup. We use it to cleanup cheerios and such the baby spills. It works fine. At this price point it's as good as it gets

 Over all satisfied , looks nice, good build quality and I would expect from Anker / eufy .
