This robot vacuum lacks the Roborock S7's LIDAR mapping system, so you can't set up virtual boundary lines or direct it to specific rooms, but it is notably less expensive. It also delivers superb performance on bare floors, easily clearing away pet hair as well as small and bulky debris. In spite of its less advanced mapping system, it does an excellent job of maneuvering its way around obstacles and cleans in an organized pattern of horizontal and vertical lines

If you're looking for a less expensive alternative, the iRobot Roomba 981 is the best Roomba for hardwood floors that we've tested. This robot vacuum doesn't have the Roborock S7's mopping feature and LIDAR mapping system.
