Jabra Elite Active 75t

Got a great deal on the Sundara, plus i decided to upgrade from some junk generic brand $30 TWS in-ears to the jabra elite active 75T. love the case size on these, and the soft touch finish.

* Skullcandy ANC Fuel - GREAT music sound and call quality...but again, weak transparency mode (slightly better than the Buds Live, but Skullcandy sits more tightly in the ear, so it's a wash. * Jabra Elite Active 75t - more extensive functionality/customization of any previous sets, but their transparency mode was weak and seemed rather fickle. I read somewhere that the Elite 85t's were an improvement in every way, and so I wound up with... * Jabra Elite 85t - this is the set I currently have. At first, it seemed that their transparency mode *was* going to be a step up...but after a day or so of using them, they, too, seem fickle: at times, it doesn't sound as if transparency mode is even on, and I wind up cycling through the modes (ANC, off, Hearthrough) in order to "refresh" things and ensure transparency mode actually is on. I suspect that there may be some sort of "AI" trying to cut ambient mode in and out based on loudness of sounds and battery life--or these could just be defective (I discovered that they seem to be disconnecting from the phone occasionally).

So I replaced my previous Jabra Elite Active 75t sports for a new one since the other one had the said issue on the left earbud and it's ANC was working poorly. Today I got my replacement and I was careful enough to use it first without updating to observe the sound quality and ANC improvement (wrt to previous one I had). After the update I saw that ANC has improved but the crackling sound started appearing in the left earbud. Hey u/jabrasupport , has Jabra acknowledged this issue assuming it is widespread and will there be a firmware update in the upcoming days ?.

Water resistance – I often use the 75t Actives in the shower after my morning ride into work. They seem to tolerate it just fine – although I am not sure if it contributes to the fact the left ear piece sometimes does not transmit sound as well. It seems to be a problem that comes and goes. Theoretically, it should be fine with an IP57 rating – although maybe the distance and strength of the jet does disqualify it.

I bought my Elite active 75T a year ago, they have been malfunctioning since day one. You would figure that if you spend over 150$ for earbuds they would be amazing. Well, I live in the real world and I can tell you first hand, it is a lie. I first contacted Jabra after a week from making my purchase, I thought about returning it but I wanted to give Jabra a chance.
