The Jones boards ride BIG and the flagship is no exception. I have the the Hovercraft in a 156, I'm heavier than you and wish I'd gone down a size or two. It's a fantastic board, but it's like riding a rocket ship all day. Very fun but it takes a lot of focus and strength at every second.

I liked the Hovercraft quite a bit more, it carved very nicely, the tail is nice and stiff and overall a very solid board, that makes hard riding much less tiring on your legs. The Dropout is fun, still has a fairly stable ride but the softer flex made it more work on chopped up terrain. You could definitely push your riding a long way with the Hovercraft, but if you want to carve as a bit more of a priority there probably are some better options.

I took a Lib Tech La Niña through central Hokkaido. It is an all mountain board with twin tip but directional - tapers way up to one end and bindings are set back. It handled deep pow pretty well and I can use it in all conditions at home. However, a guy with us had a Jones Hovercraft and it worked so much better - especially on the traverses into and out of the side/back country which were super challenging on a snowboard.
