Not what I was expecting

 All-in-all, I must say that I'm very impressed by both the looks and performance of the Kitchenaid K-150 blender. Like all Kitchenaid items that I have (and I have many) this one doesn't disappoint.

 Not sure why, but you don't have to hold it for long to crush ice anyway. Maybe it's to make sure you don't overblend the ice. All-in-all, I must say that I'm very impressed by both the looks and performance of the Kitchenaid K-150 blender. Like all Kitchenaid items that I have (and I have many) this one doesn't disappoint

 Also, the carafe is made of substantially strong material and appears very long-lasting. 

 The base is heavy which is important - because the blender doesn't jump around when blending hard items. Anyone who has purchased different blenders or smoothie-makers has probably witnessed this with some blenders - they move around because the “engine” is so strong. But not this one. It stays put

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....

The first task I put this blender to was crushing ice, which it did without hesitiation - it went from 3/4 full of frozen ice cubes to fluffy snow quickly! Next up, smoothies. It creates a smooth, milkshake like texture with fresh or frozen fruit. Design wise, it is very easy to assemble and use - my elementary age son could do it. The blender container is plastic, not glass like my other Kitchen Aid blender (7 speed) but I actually prefer the plastic and the square shape and the capactity is great

  Also,  I wish the container itself was a bit larger?  For bigger blending jobs?  All in all, entire blender is sturdy and reliable, and looks great on my countertop as a functional and much used appliance.

  The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is that the rubber piece on top of the container holding the ice is hard to take off once you finish blending.  At least I know that cover piece will never come flying off.  Also,  I wish the container itself was a bit larger?  For bigger blending jobs? Blends Beautifully!

I make smoothies for breakfast pretty much every morning and my previously blender was extremely loud to the point where it would wake my girlfriend up and it would take about 30 seconds to get the smoothie to the desired texture. This blender does the same job in about 10 seconds with less noise than my previous blender. The blender is extremely high quality and for the price I think this is an extremely good deal. The only improvement I would request to move to five stars would be to make it slightly more quiet, but at the price point I think it still does a good job in regard to noise

Very Happy with this Blender

. I wouldn't replace a bullet for this if u have a small space it's kinda big .. but it does blend great smoothies if that's what you want !

Great great blender ! It has a plastic pitcher not glass . The lid is a bit hard to take off . My husband has to help unless I'm just weak . 

Overall it does what it say it does blends half a tray of ice , great smoothie blender ..  very powerful the 3rd setting I hope it doesn't burn out the engine .

Functional and Easy to Use

I was raised a kitchenAid girl! My dream kitchenAid EVERYTHING! This blender however, leaves a lot to be expected. You can only blend a small amount at a time. If you put too much in it will blend the bottom and and that's all. The pulse function does not offer much help
