 It was colder temps. There was a little bit of fresh snow on top of perfect corduroy, as well as a little bit more snow off the trail. And there was some chunder and lumpy ass crappy snow, depending where I went, and I rode it with my Rome Black Label bindings and my K2 Thraxis boots. The overall flex of this board comes in at just past the middle of the road, freeride carving cruiser flex

The softest section of the board is going to be the nose, where the rocker is, but right where it meets the camber it becomes a uniform flex from the start of the camber zone all the way back through the tail. With a little bit of torsional flex, but not a crazy amount that really lets you overpower it

The Korua Dart Snowboard Review

I'm looking to expand my quiver this year. I already have an all mountain board, and a cheap early season board to get out and have fun on and now worry much about the deck. The only thing I wish I had a better deck for is powder. I'm partial to the swallow tails. I have been looking at a few different ones.
Storm chaser 152cm
Chamonix chemin 156cm
Orca 150ish cm?? 

I'm 6ft ish 
225lb before snow gear
Size 11 boots

I'm leaning towards the chemin due to price. But for a little bit more I can get the storm chaser. 
The question is, is it worth the extra price for PNW mountains to go for the storm chaser. Or is the chemin going to be to stiff for conditions of the PNW 


Orca makes the list because everyone has nothing but good things to say about it. But it doesnt have the swallow design to it so it doesnt stand out as much as the others. 

And lastly binding recommendations for each or any. 

Any powder board you think I should get instead on one of these? Let's see it!

So I'm looking for a good powder/double black board. I love the look of swallow tails but don't know if there practical. I already have a park/all mountain but want performance when there's powder. Thanks in advance.

So my only board has been a Arbor Westmark camber 156. I’m 5’10” 215lbs. Board has been a great all mountain board. I’ve found I spend most my days in the trees looking for powder, and this board isn’t great for that. Looking to add either a Salomon Dancehaul or a Spring Break Slush Slasher as a powder/trees board that is also decent for doing some big carves on groomers. It won’t be for riding in the park, as I have the westmark. but maybe some side hits. Any advice?

<p>I mainly ride in California, some smaller resorts, Bear and mammoth. But I also spend a week each season in Colorado (steamboat) or around Salt Lake Utah.</p>

2nd board help

Hello expert snowboarders! 

I need your help. I've been snowboarding the same board for 20+ years (I'm 41 now) and I think it's time to buy a new snowboard. I tried to watch reviews, read articles, etc but holy moly have snowboards become complicated. It's like the reviewers are intentionally using made up words just to confuse me. (Is there a snow-boarding lingo for dummies book?). 

Well, I've managed to narrow it down that I want a **directional carving board** as I don't ride switch and I don't do parks any more. Too many injuries. 

I live in California, I can comfortably ride black diamonds, double blacks are doable just not enjoyed as much. I'm 6' + 200lbs. My current (ancient) board is a Burton Balance. 

I was thinking about the **Korua Shapes Cafe Racer** or the **Bataleon Cruiser**? 

Any help or suggestions are appreciated. I listened to reviews about these and other cruise/carve boards and the nuanced details are just lost on me.

What kind of board do you like to ride in trees? Do you size down?  What kind of board and camber shape? Do you ride something different for a true powder day rather than when in the trees when the snow is looped out?
