 I finally sent an email to La Crosse and they responded immediately. The customer service rep said they would send out  new sensor and I received the sensor within days. I inserted the batteries in both units and it synced up immediately. It has been working flawlessly since then

When I first received this unit, I was unable to get the rain sensor to connect with the monitor. I tired changing to different brands of new batteries, looked online for solutions and had no success. I finally sent an email to La Crosse and they responded immediately.
