 As you can see, there's some blush tones. You actually can't see it as much it's sitting right next to flame, so it's kind of like um, washing it out a bit, but this is the color meringue, so you can see kind of the blush tones down here. Okay, so i wanted to do a review and comparison and com well, basically, comparing it to the round dutch oven. So i've had this for some time for many years now um, but when this actually came in the mail, i was a little confused because they looked exactly the same, like literally exactly the same um, and so i even called to make sure that i was sent The proper to the right item um because you know, as you can see, um, they look exactly the same: okay same height and everything um, but there are some differences here

 Now i'm going to go over here. This is the round dutch oven. It holds five and a half quarts, but it is ten and one fourth inches in diameter. From handle to handle okay um, and it also serves five to six people, they both stand around seven well, they're, both seven inches in height um

 This one is seven and a half inches tall, but, as you can see, is just kind of just barely any difference here in terms of height. Now, if i compared it to probably the four and a half quart pot, we'd - probably see uh, you know a a bigger difference in height, but this is the five and a half quart. This is five and one-fourth quartz um this actually can fit inside here. Obviously, because this one is 13 and a half um well, this is 13 inches in diameter and this is 10 and 1 4 inches in diameter

 Heats beautifully.  5 stars: I ended up replacing my $100 Dutch oven with this in the end. It is not really a savings when the piece needs replaced after a year.

Finding the actual user measurements of this dutch oven online prepurchase was difficult, 9 1/2" wide at the top measured from inside edges around 8 1/2" cooking surface at the bottom and 5 3/8" high not including the lid. Look at the bottom usable area as roughly the same as a 10" skillet. Including the lid the height is about the same as a 7.5 quart dutch oven I have

 Having said that the Amazon price is the same as at Williams-Sonoma et. al. so looks like Le Creuset is offering the deal. Importantly this Le Creuset has a premium metal centre knob/handle, a real plus and value

 I purchased it because it seems a good price for the size - compare to the 5.5 qt - almost a hundred dollars more. It washed up (always hand wash all your Le Creuset, none abrasive cleaners) beautifully. I didn't see any chips or scratches

 I highly recommend this product and feel it was worth the price I paid. Sometimes you have to pay a little more for a quality product. Being frugal can sometimes result in disappointment. I was very pleased with it and glad I made the purchase

Great product and fair price

 It washes easily and best of all you don’t have to season it as you would with cast iron skillets. This is not a light weight pot, the lid by itself is heavy. I decided after my daughter bought me one for my birthday, I in turn bought her one for Christmas and hopefully we can continue to purchase more items from Le Creuset.
