Lenovo Chromebook C340-11

I just bought a 2nd hand (mint condition tho) Lenovo Ideapad C340-11 and it's way better than I expected. I did look into getting Kali linux running on this but after seeing it's a real PITA I will keep this as a Chromebook only, run Kali in a container and next time specifically look for a model CB that I know is easily reflashed etc. I paid only AU$275 for this btw.

Came here from another post, I have a Lenovo C340-11, same issue. Tried all the "tricks" like "power washing" the Chromebook, restarted and connected to a different wifi, tried a mobile hotspot both on wifi and on cellular data. Nothing. I can "browse as a guest" and get to any website I type in, but the set up won't move past "select network screen".

Haven't disassembled it yet, but based on YT videos it seems pretty simple other than the fact that it has torx screws. It looks sleek, the touchpad is solid as well as the keyboard, and it has an alright port selection. Overall I'd probably buy it again.

my Lenovo C340-11 Chromebook is on version 97.0.4692.53. For a short while now, the chromebook has issues with WiFi connectivity and is regularly loosing connection. To reconnect, i have to use the toggle to switch WiFi of and on again. This will then create a stable WiFi for another 1-10minutes until lost again.

I have a Chromebook; Lenovo C340-11 and I am using it since the last year and a half now. And it plainly sucks big time!. When I bought the Chromebook, I knew I was getting a Celeron so, I was not very enthusiastic about the performance and I was not planning to execute heavy programs on it.
