 Macbook Pro 15 inch charging. But that said, one of the things that I really like about this display is that it works with the USB type-c connections as well. So that means it will mirror a 20-18 iPad pro via USB C, and it should work with other USB type-c computers like the 12-inch MacBook that hasn't been updated. Yet now one of the things I really like about connecting to an iPad pro, something that really shows its potential is that certain apps can output a separate screen, not just a mirror, but an actual separate display, like you see right here so in iMovie

 So, like I said, it's sort of like a mini Thunderbolt 3 dock, but that's not to say that you should automatically daisy chain any Thunderbolt 3 device that you have. There are some exceptions when it comes to connecting to that second Thunderbolt 3 port on this display. Let me show you what I mean here, so I have these Samsung X, 5 SSD connected to the display, and you can see the speed, read and write speeds using the black magic disk. Speed test speeds aren't bad but notice

 Also, you want to make sure that you're connected to the bottom Thunderbolt 3 port when connecting to your MacBook Pro for full 60 watt power delivery, otherwise, you'll be stuck at 15 watt power delivery and, to be honest, 60 watt power delivery. Still isn't all that great? I wish it was at least 85 watts for full speed. Macbook Pro 15 inch charging. But that said, one of the things that I really like about this display is that it works with the USB type-c connections as well

 Let me show you what I mean here, so I have these Samsung X, 5 SSD connected to the display, and you can see the speed, read and write speeds using the black magic disk. What happens when I directly connect to my macbook pro notice, the speeds, now you get faster, read and write speeds when directly connected to the MacBook Pro instead of daisy chaining via the display. So what does this tell me? Well, it tells me that I should probably stay away from connecting EGP use directly to the display, so you can see the throughput from device to host and from host to device is about twenty-five hundred megabits

TL;DR: I want a GLOSSY 4k monitor. I have a matte 4k monitor now, and nobody on the PLANET can convince me that matte is better, this is strictly a personal preference. Any of you see new glossy 4k monitors on the market for 2021? Any good 27-32" OLED 4k TV's that may work? Thank you!

Currently I'm using a matte-screen Lenovo 4k P27-u10, excellent color and sharpness for the design and photography work I do. I bought it two years ago to replace a 27" Apple Cinema Display because the screen was turning warmish due to 10 years of long work days. About the same time that I swapped out my monitor, my enthusiasm for work also began to drop. I thought it was burnout.

Out of curiosity, over the weekend I dusted off the Apple and BAM. Everything popped again. It was like looking out of a window, rainy mountain photos looked real again. Water looked wet. I wanted to smell the flowers. My opinion now is that matte monitors make photos look like they're printed on very high quality paper, but glossy monitors put you in the scene. This is what I want again, so I'm hoping a new 4k Glossy monitor is out there somewhere looking for a home.

Apple’s mainstream Mac monitor has a big catch

 This is a 2 metre cable, it's an active cable and it's a very high quality cable. It comes in black like that, and then you have this power connector and notice. No power brick, so normally LG displays come with these massive external power supplies, but not the ones designated for Apple stores, because the power supply is internal on these models. Alright, so let's proceed with the rest of the unpacking here

 So, let's go ahead and pop that baby back on there, and one thing I really appreciate about these displays is just how clean they look. They are completely devoid of any buttons there's, not so much as a power button on this display. In fact, the only thing you'll find on the bottom of the housing, our speaker, ports for the stereo speakers. Now, just like the previous LG ultra fine 4k display there is no webcam

 It can work as part of the chain, so it will allow your MacBook, for instance, to interface with whatever is connected to that extra Thunder both report on your display, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. First of all, I want to show you how easy it is to connect to the lg ultra fine display a single Thunderbolt 3 cable to my MacBook Air and look it's connected just like that and ready to go so there's no power button to mess with. No, you simply connected Thunderbolt 3 cable to your Mac and it powers own. It'S ready to go just like that, and when you disconnect it it powers off, you don't have to turn the display off because it does so automatically

 The rumor has it that Apple will be stepping back into the display business this year with a new 6k display. Now you can expect that to be crazy from a technological standpoint and also crazy from a price standpoint. So, if you're in the market for a display right now, you don't want to break the bank. You know apples display is gon na cost a fortune

Good but glitch! Watch out.

 Maybe in iOS 13 will actually get support for full screen on the external display, as well as the ability to use that display as a secondary, monitor for your iPad and not just a mirrored view. Finally, there is no webcam at the top of the monitor, but underneath the LG branding on the front. There are some speakers that do sound relatively decent. They can get very loud, but I'd still recommend picking up a good pair of headphones or proper desktop speakers

 So you have, in addition to the srgb this one here has the dc ip3, so taking this out of the box, giving you first impression, i can also tell you that this is very easy, because you just have to take it out. You see the accessory box down there and you don't have to assemble the stand. It'S already, as you can see here, putting some of the stuff aside. That'S all you just take it out of the box, remove the foil and then we are ready to go guys

 Then, right now we jump to the test part of the lg ultrafine, as you can see for mac in the navigation. I took my macbook pro connected. It via thunderbolt down here that works really nicely, and it did actually in fact charge it up quite rapidly uh. I had this connected here now it's at a hundred percent, so the monitor can definitely deliver enough power to charge up

 That was very nice. So we tested, for example, the speed of an external ssd, directly connected to the monitor hub or directly connected to the macbook pro i think, directly connected to the macbook pro. I was a slight performance edge. That'S why i would recommend you, maybe if you have an external audio interface or other periphery, connect this here to the monitor hub, and if you have something that needs a lot of data like video editing, you get slightly better performance directly from the macbook pro other Than that really nice also the function that you can adjust the brightness and the volume these buttons in the phone
