 Alright so welcome back, let's start with the things that I like. The form factor. So for simple ATX enclosure, it's only as tall as my Corsair One and slightly wider than your usual mid tower. They have now modified that second chamber at the back to support a full size ATX power supply which is fantastic and that is an upgrade over the previous O11 Dynamic Mini which could only support an SFX unit

 I don't like this color at all. The large rubber grommets are easy to work with but are pretty loose so you will need to align the back in place after routing cables. But the main thing here is the airflow is indeed mini. So check this out

This is the Lian Li O11 Air Mini and it's a totally different enclosure from the previous mini the O11 Dynamic Mini. The promise we are told is to give us the same compact ATX experience but with airflow performance similar to that of the Lanco 2 mesh and that my friend is very exciting

 It seems like they're kind of dirty but from something red. At first I thought it was rust but it could be some painting issue. Next are the PCI screws that were overtightened causing the paint to strip as I removed the screws. The blue power button LED flashes purple for hard drive activity

Lian Li O11 Air MINI Review - Airflow is Optional!

 I thought it could pop back in, but that wasn't the case. It wasn't a big deal for me since I intended to use my own fans, but I could see how this would be a huge issue for someone who needed the included fans. Another oversight in quality control was the different sized motherboard standoffs installed from the factory. Some were much longer than others

 Overall, I am happy with the case as it suits my needs for a small case that can fit on my desk, but I wish it had the quality as the larger Lian-Li case it is replacing.

This case is great if you're looking for a smaller case for a full ATX motherboard with *just* enough room for components, but unfortunately, quality control leaves a lot to be desired. The most egregious is the broken 120mm case fan, where the fan blades completely fell out of their housing. I thought it could pop back in, but that wasn't the case. It wasn't a big deal for me since I intended to use my own fans, but I could see how this would be a huge issue for someone who needed the included fans

Nice compact ATX case, but with QC issues...

 That's not cool. It's risky. You end up with a piece of screw in the case and short something and kill the board or whatever, or you just have to get a new screw, which is inconvenient. So that needs to be fixed, but that's the biggest fit and finish issue we've ever seen out of Lee and Lee, at least in the last year or so

 This case instead uses the ultra-fine mesh approach that a lot of modern cases use where they just use very, well, fine and densely populated holes in a panel and then allow that to filter most of the dust. And that avoids double stacking filters. So this filter is on the front, on the top. It's got some side mesh over here as well, and then there is an actual filter underneath the case

 So there needs to be an improvement there. We think that a lot of this has to do with the height of the legs for the case where since they've brought it down for some reason and scaled down the leg standoff height, maybe to screw with the leader sizing math if they include that in there. But since they brought the case down to be close to the table you lose some of the, actually really close to the table because the presence of the fan and radiator cages and the filter and all the stuff down there, because of that there's a lot of loss of ability to get air in through the bottom of the case efficiently. And that's proven with our task where we moved a fan to the bottom of the case

 It looks about the same from there at least, but the change has been in the porosity or the amount of holes per given area in the front panel and that change, despite not looking too different visually, has had a huge impact on thermal performance. So we're gonna be benchmarking the old panel versus the new one today. The old panel did not ship to customers, but the new one will be and it will be soon. And then we're reviewing the case as it is for everything else we normally do

5-inch (~37mm) wooden blocks under the case feet to give my bottom intake fans access to more air. The factory feet are kinda short considering they give you the option to mount fans down there.  One last thing - if you look at reviews of this case from around the time it launched, you'll probably see people complaining about the hard drive cage being riveted in. At some point in early 2022, Lian Li silently made a small revision that changed these rivets to Philips screws

Fantastic case

 Like I said, the quality and thought that went into this case is mind blowing, it reminds me of Japanese car design; nothing is left without thought of improvement.  Love it and very happy I bought it, but make sure you understand what you're in for so you're not disappointed.

  Positives -High quality materials and design -They give you modularity that is not found in other cases -Captive thumb screws where possible that you'll appreciate down the line -Design may be great for airflow, but you'll need to plan accordingly  Negatives -Can't fit 280 rads except for the front -Limited to 120 fans basically everywhere other than the front -Side mount fans are essentially useless -A tiny bit larger would've meant the ultimate case  If you're serious about this case, save buying fans and rads until you have it and seat your motherboard in it, so you know what options exist. The reality is that you cannot fit 240 fans or a 280 rad like I was hoping. The side intake is not really usable, which is unfortunate; it's too close to the front intake, the frame of it will limit airflow significantly, and the side-panel grill is offset from it. When planning out my air design, I kept thinking "if it was only a 1/2" bigger" basically everywhere

I ended up getting it perfect for me, but make sure you have a lot of 120mm fans, because you'll need them. If you have 240 rads it will be more versatile

Don't Plan the Layout Before You Get It

  I built a full ATX system with a Noctua NH-D15S air cooler. It is BIG and takes up a lot of room, especially at the top. It takes some time to arrange the cooler, tighten it, and then add and daisy chain the Lian Li Uni 140mm fans at the top and move the cooler cable out of the way. I would recommend instead installing 120mm fans on the top

Great case, looks awesome, great airflow

 I didn't notice any big improvement over the MSI's case; however, if I need to do it all over again, I will pick this case (as I do a bit of gaming) over MSI's case. MSI's case is great if you want good looks, but only do very light to no gaming with your computer. This is my first computer case from Lian Li and it's not a disappointment (other than I was expecting a lot more). Bottom line: If you are in the market for an excellent case this should be on your shortlist - a nice case having great build quality and a reasonable price tag

Below my expectation but a very solid case, overall speaking...

I really like the idea of dual chamber cases and mostly of them are maded by Lian Li with a few corsair cases, the case itself is very good, however they're things that they should have been fixed a long time ago with the perfored panels way back: The HDD drive cage in top of the psu is riveted and that not only doesn't allow you to access to the cpu cooler mounting bracket (which btw you can't access entirely because of the position of the motherboard hole, so you need to premount the bracket in the motherboard before putting it in the case) and makes the cable manage a bit harder The bottom filter is very restricted, using bottom fans is very innecifient and will only make your rig louder unless you use some high static pressure fans running at low rpm Overall is a good case, it has his flaws like any case, but I enjoyed building a pc in it

A very good case, with a few drawbacks

 I drilled 4 holes at the upper position, but now every time I want to remove my graphic card, I have to remove the rear fan first, since it’s blocking the card. You can also try another fan or use double sided tape or something to install the rear fan, if you plan to go rear exhaust route. Other than that you might want to be aware of, it’s a solid case. Runs cool and quiet the video is at full load
