 It's a pretty straightforward coffee grinder. There isn't anything else here in the box, as you can see. So it's very straightforward. It's very easy to use

 The stainless steel is gonna be a little more durable. But first impression, the Lido, I mean, and this has always been a thing, it's got just really great weight and it fits in the hand really nice, which is really cool. Like it's really easy to hold it like this and be able to grind with it, which is really nice because I have used some hand grinders that you're grinding and it's going all over the place and it's just kind of annoying.  Yeah, so the threading and I'm going to just loosen this up as much as possible. The threading is much more fine on the adjustment ring of the Lido ET. And that threading will make it easier to be able to adjust really quickly to be able to grind for espresso grind, really fine grind. Now you can do this with the Lido, the standard, but this makes it a lot easier

What was your first machine?

 Large bean hopper, which that's true, this is a very large bean hopper for a manual grinder actually. Dual bronze axle bearings, stepless adjustment, unbreakable steel conic burr, I believe that, I've looked at the burrs on the Lido and they're real solid. And then it also features an anti-static grinds jar or ground jar, and the materials of this are aluminum stainless steel and BPA-free plastic. And the Lido weighs in at about 1096 grams, so it's not too heavy, but it's also heavy enough that it feels good in the hand and it doesn't slide everywhere when you're grinding with it

So one thing I should mention is that I had to use a different hex wrench to loosen this screw right here because it was just too tight to be able to remove using the included hex screw or hex wrench, should I say. So locking ring in place, adjustment ring at around three and a half turns and let's grind. So this is a lot, this is even easier, this is much easier than the espresso, I'm going to get through these beans much more quickly

Would it really be better for me to get two $400 grinders -- one for espresso and one for everything else? Or will this do the trick for everything?

Lives up to the hype

 This grinder is Orphan's take on a portable espresso grinder. It is capable of grinding anywhere from espresso to French press, but it's really strong in the espresso range. So it's constructed of chrome-plated aluminum, BPA-free plastic, it's medical grade, it's super durable, has some silicone parts and also some stainless steel parts. So a couple things that make this grinder really unique

 To make adjustments to your grind size, what you're going to do is loosen the bottom ring and then use the line, the black line here, as a point of reference to set your grind size. Clockwise finer, counterclockwise for coarser. Then once you've settled on something, use the top ring to lock it down. Just like that
