The filtration material traps fine dust well while still allowing the bag to breathe and not lose suction. With modern synthetic bags, you can get them crazy full before needing to empty them. While people tend to fill up their first bag kinda quick with a high quality vacuum, I'd expect that you'd barely go through a box of bags a year at most with a home that size. I think the Lindhaus Healthcare Pro is exactly the vacuum you're looking for.

Just give the button a press (it's a mechanical switch with a satisfying click) and the machine will soft-start. While cat food isn't that great of a material to test out the carpet pickup capabilities on (very large, very hard, should be picked up with a hose), the Lindhaus handled it and the finer dust as well as it could given that I probably had the height too low. I think the M30 really does provide good sweeping, grooming, and agitation for a cordless, though the fact that the vacuum's running on its lowest power setting makes me concerned that fine dust is being left in the carpet.

In the manual, Lindhaus claims that the runtime of this machine is 40-60 minutes depending on the power setting. Did a little nonscientific test where I just vacuumed my upstairs nonstop til the battery ran out, and it looks like Lindhaus was telling the truth. It's probably safe to say that you could clean a 2000 sq. ft. 50% carpet, 50% hard floors house on a singe charge without any issue with this vacuum.
