I watched a video on lion, steel m390 and i'm not impressed those tests were from quite a while ago, guys um any company uh any company who's once done this, or once has had this said about it's it's a few years is a long time to correct Things i haven't heard much about subpar heat, treating from lion steel in quite a while i'm gon na guess that they got whatever quality control issues they might have been.  The engine is only making you know, 380, you know it should be making 500 right so uh yeah. I hope that that's the case, but uh everything else wow. These are very good um. I can't believe i just did a nearly 30 minute review on a uh traditional knife, but should we get this guy back out? I think he probably deserves to be in the shot

I am on a mission to try and find a good EDC knife so I can pick one up for my dad and myself as a father son belated Christmas presents.  Cost isn't a huge factor, I was looking at the Benchmade 940 but thought I'd see if I could catch the attention of some more knowledgeable people to give me some advice.  I have extremely limited knowledge in knives but want to start to EDC one and thought this would be a nice gesture for my dad too.  He's a hell of a man and I want to make sure I get a nice quality present for him.

Good EDC I can buy for my dad and myself as a father/son gift recommendations?

These are very well made from premium powdered metal steel in Italy. Probably as good as any American maker, or many hand made pieces.

These are very well made knives. I have bought them from amazon, and other dealers who had stock.

 Um. Nothing really aligns in the knife it feels like. Oh, this is made of a bunch of disparate pieces that they got ta grab them through together. I'M the pinch open is a little touch-and-go

 This has been the issue with Lion Steel's integral's before or up sorry Lions, the traditionals before but yeah. It'S definitely not a great thing. I do like a traditional, that's designed to be taken apart effectively um. It has two pivots here now I get that some of these are actually two pivot knives, because you've got the the other version with the two blades um, but it's a little lazy to have the two pivots in both three and then there's just one blade

 I mean it's much better built than you know they did that, but it feels like all of these pieces have just kind of been slapped together and then screwed together and then there's your knife um there is no feeling of like I don't know. If you look at some of your classical traditionals, things are relatively flush on the back there you know again, this is completely flush. Everything aligns beautifully, and you know this is maybe a little unfair, because this is a much more expensive custom, traditional style knife, but again all of these things are perfectly smooth across. You cannot even feel some of these inlays here, whereas this has these big gaps

 So, no, no Chris, no but anyways. So there's no disassembly here very and slip joints is very, very painful to disassemble unless they are very well designed for it, but nevertheless that is something to keep in mind. So, let's go on ahead and talk about the good. The great the bad and the ugly of this very interesting little knife right here to start with, on the good side
