So, I know the M1 Garand fires .30-06, but recently I've heard that standard ammo wont work, and you have to use military surplus. I did a bit of research on my own, which unfortunately only added more questions, such as the grain count, which told me that 150 grain is fine, but 180 is not. I guess I'm wondering, what's the limitations on it? Do I really HAVE to use surplus? Or can I go buy some .30-06? Thank you for your time, and I appreciate all the help!
