Charge 5 tho gets louder for sure and still is a great Bluetooth speaker for party music and for more regular listening. However if you’re an audiophile who pays attention to the small nuances on the tracks then you should go for Marshall. Charge 5 again has a stronger bass than Marshall Emberton. However that doesn’t mean Marshall does a bad job in the bass department. At 70-80 percent volume it does a decent job. At 100 percent tho there is not much of a bass it sacrifices from bass to get louder. I can say Marshall is more for indoor listening while jbl is for outdoor. They both have their ups and downs it was a difficult choice for sure. I got the new cream colour. This little thing looks terrific and does a great job compared to its competitors.

Charge 5 vs Marshall Emberton

PerformanceThe bass boosted mode seems to boost more of the low-mids and lows and less of the sub-bass range that can sometimes bring serious thunder. This is a good thing, since the Mode EQ sounds far more natural than it would if the sub-range lows were pumped mightily. On tracks that happen to have gobs of intense sub-bass content, like The Knife's "Silent Shout," the Mode EQ brings plenty of deep bass presence even in the treble-focused EQ mode, but the sound is a more natural, less Beats-style bass boosting. At top, unsafe listening levels, it also doesn't distort, which isn't a given in the sub-$100 price range

3. Marshall Mode (2014-2016) (again used them because of good warranty but worst ones I had so far).

 I ended up returning these, however, due to two major issues. The first is entirely subject but worth mentioning: none of the included ear pieces worked for me. They were all either too large (resulting in a painful fit) or too small (resulting in no sound isolation).  The second, and perhaps slightly more objective reason, was material quality

Well, if the comments are still worth..I had JBL xtreme 1 , loved every bit of it when bought 4 years back. Unfortunately battery was dead and I was using it as a AC powered bluetooth speaker since last year.

Replaced it with Marshall Emberton a week back (had a Marshall Major ii earlier so know Marshall's sound would be great and also Emberton looks awesome). But to tell you the truth by experience, didn't liked the Emberton much. Nice sound output at mid volumes, but the bass is too low.

Maybe I am used to the bass of JBL Xtreme, but now I am planning to return it and was planning to get JBL charge 5 and landed here for reviews.  But seems debate is still on 🤔

I am in between these two Bluetooth speakers. I love rock heavy metal genre as much as I like party electronic alternative electronic genres so I’m pretty confused on which one to purchase? Can someone who has both give some ideas in terms of solely sound quality. I love the design of them both and they’re both portable enough for me. Thanks!

Marshall Emberton or JBL Charge 5?

I got these to replace a broken pair of RHA MA390s and maintain that those are the best headphones you can get near this price point. If you don't live in Europe or don't want to deal with Amazon's very long shipping times for those, these are a decent choice.  Sound: As a quick disclaimer, I haven't used the stock eartips they sent with these. I've only used foam Comply tips, which I highly recommend for any pair of earbuds

With the 11.11 sale, I thought I’ll finally grab myself my first pair of budget IEMs. Which ones would you suggest? I’m currently on the fence between QKZ VK4 (but I’m concerned about it’s QC issues), Moondrop Quarks (which seems to be a safe bet), Moondrop Spaceship (for a slight upgrade over the Quarks for a few bucks more), and Tanchjim Tanya (it’s open back nature is a concern for leakage - is it usable in public spaces?). I’ve heard a ton about the Blon BL03 but I have no interest in buying third party cables and tips to make a budget earphone usable. I’d really like it to be good to go out of the box. I’d appreciate any and all thoughts.

<p>Edit: I currently use a DT770 Pro and very much like it’s sound signature, so I wouldn’t mind a similar sounding IEM. But I’m also happy to try a good neutral sounding one. My main genres of music are hip-hop/rap, R&amp;B, pop, alternative.</p>

Sub $20 earphone

The earbuds themselves are good. Sound quality matched expectations (which were high from all the positive reviews) and there were only minor issues up until one side stopped working. Used these earbuds somewhere in the ball park of 40 hours a week for 4 months. After that the left earbud stopped working
