 And contrary to what people have told me, I would totally play this guitar out. Maybe I wouldn't record with it, but in terms of playing out somewhere or with buddies, or certainly like a campfire or home situation or something like that, absolutely. I think it sounds really fantastic. One thing I have noticed is that it's a little bit more sensitive with staying in tune

 It's fantastic. I didn't even know it was rich light until I looked it up two days after purchasing the guitar. So I think it's great. One and 11 16th nut width, white Corian nut, Godot Martin tuners, which feel really solid

 I think you're gonna dig it. Are there any cons to this guitar? I was bummed to learn that the back and sides were laminate. I think ultimately one day, I would love to get a custom one of these guitars if it's possible and get real wood back and sides, because I'm really curious to see how much better it would sound with real wood. That being said, I actually love the way this guitar sounds

 So I chose the LX-1 over the other two guitars for a couple of reasons. I really liked the size. I thought the playability was a little bit more familiar, already having a Martin. I really dug the sound

 And I've actually had that problem myself on certain guitars. This one I have not. So if you're someone who is like a kid or something like maybe a young teenager or something like that and you've got, you're looking to get a guitar You want one that you can put your fingers on decently, this is a pretty good option. So I will say the pricing on this is different

 So that's like me doing a G chord. so that's not. That's not too difficult, right? Let me find C a minor, E minor. Okay, G like that too

 Um, I like. I like the dot placement you can see there. I like all of that because some guitars don't have it on like the third or the you know, the seventh and ninth. This one has it on three, five, seven, 9, and 12

 That being said, um, it's a really solid guitar. Like it just feels solid. It's got a decent weight to it. I don't know what the exact way it is, but it's got a really good weight to it and stuff

 It'll sit about there, or sometimes it'll hang down in front of me, kind of sideways like that. It's really pretty easy to carry around. I would say weighs about as much as two or three small water bottles would weigh. I try to make these comparisons on something that people could pick up around the house to get an idea

 So I've had a chance to really put it to the test. It's been through rain, massive heat waves, anything you can think of for six months and it's on that trip and it's held up very well. I'm sure the thing on most people's minds whenever you're looking at a smaller guitar is sound quality. This is where I think that this guitar really shines when you compare it to its brother or sister guitar, the Martin Backpacker

 Hey everybody, this is Tom from Tune Up and Travel here. I'm going to do a review of the Martin LXM, or Little Martin, or Traveler guitar as some people call it. I've had this thing for a good while now and I've had a chance to put it through its rounds to say the least. I've had it anywhere from downtown Barcelona in Spain to beaches in southern Thailand, Boston Harbor here in the United States, and even used it to bounce pine cones into a cup when I was stranded in some mountains in Tekapo, New Zealand

 The only reason I don't give it ten out of ten is because I would reserve a rating like that for something that insanely blows me away. While this thing is a really awesome guitar, it hasn't melted my face off with its quality in terms of the sound. The sound is great, don't get me wrong, but it's still not as good as a full-size guitar, which would make me give it ten stars because that would blow my mind because I don't think it's possible for them to do that. Martin, don't hold that extra star against you because I think you did a fantastic job with this guitar

 There's a high pressure laminate back in sides and there is a strata bond neck and a rich light fingerboard and a rich light bridge. And those are all laminate materials that make this guitar a lot more sturdy and a lot more Hardy for travel and you know, dealing with weather conditions and that sort of thing. but there's a solid spruce top so that's really what gives it the great sound. Something unusual in this price point is this really nice gig bag

I had to have it restrung with a lighter gauge string. This guitar is more than I expected - it sounds Great!! Hard to believe a guitar this size can sound so good. And it's not too small. In fact for me, it is perfect as I'm petite
